NEW S@M SiNGLE AVAILABLE NOW @ 8MM Musik
14 bands made a scene without a scene in Berlin between the years of 2002 and 2007.
Many of these bands were from anywhere in the world besides Berlin, the common trait of these bands was that they made their way somehow or other into the 8MM Bar and found a haven for good music from DJs that shared a unique history of rock'n'roll.
The 8MM Musik compilation, "SHOTS", is now available for digital download, and it features some of the finest bands to have stumbled through the 8MM Bar these past 5 years. Check it out:

too long since i've had a chance to hear ye play live. hope all is excellent...reread an old review I did for burnt orange heresy and still stand by it...nice to see you posted Clv Crss...all the best Dave...will u be in north america this summer? i'll be in denver in late aug and st paul in early Sept for werk...
last spring this girl decided to dump me after I took her to dinner. we sat in my car and she started "the talk." while she was talking, I started to play the "This Flag Signals Goodbye" record. It was perfect for setting the mood. Of course, when the conversation was over, I wanted to drive away in a rampage, blasting your tunes, but my car battery died. we had to wait around together for my buddy to give me a jump. It was a completely uncomfortable moment that you were sort of a part of. anyways...thanks for the perfect soundtrack.
glad to see "nice guys finish last" posted. fear of low flying clouds has worked its way back into my rotation. what a great album, felt i had to give some commendation.
do you have any plans of coming to the states some time soon?

sarah just bought a new computer, and after plugging her sweet speakers in you were the first person we wanted to listen to because your cds have the most beautiful sound, and along with your voice, who better? i was thinking number 7 uptown, specifically songs 5 and 6 because the end of numbers have to many meanings to me is nuts, and dog with the lampshade head is my favorite s@m song.
Thanks for the add Dave. Its good to see that you're still plugging away at it. Not many left from that heady mid90's rock scene here in town. Greatly excited that you're still rockin the socks off.
Visiting Dayton this week and saw the Dayton City Paper (apparently the current name of The Dayton Voice and Impact Weekly) has an article about the 90s music scene in Dayton: http://dcpaper.blade6.donet.com/components/content_manager_v03/view_dcpaper/htdocs/dhtml/menu_ps.asp?NodeID=1166458395&group_ID=1161867733&Parent_ID=-1725052150 It says part 2 but I can't seem to find part 1. Has a few very short mentions of S@M, more about GBV, Breeders, Brainiac, etc
Hope you are having a good year so far! I'm coming to Germany this week to play two shows. I play Hamburg this Saturday, Jan. 26th and Hannover on Sunday, Jan. 27th at The Blues Garage. I hope you can make one of the shows. This will be the first German shows since touring with Emmylou.
Happy Trails,
AP
