When Kaah, Swedens leading man when it comes to creating music with soul, comes back in full effect its with a group, new influences and most importantly a fresh new sound. A sound so fresh its like nothing you´ve heard before. Honestly.
After four critically acclaimed albums in Swedish ("Kaahlender" 1998, "Soulrebell" 2000, "Beats, Melodier & Baby Kaah" 2001,"Jideblasko International" 2003) its time to take on the English language.
As one of four members of SLS, short for SWEDISH LOVE STORY, Kaah take centerstage and share all vocals with brother in arms Cherry aka Jesper K..rsb..r. Backing them up is Bobby Bling and Wendel that both contribute in making the group one and add a lot of that design and influences from electronica that is the fundamentals in SLS.
SLS is a mutual vision on how music should feel, look and taste. Something that has been under development during lots of years as 3 out of 4 members grew up together as teenagers in the little Swedish town Norrk..ping a few hours outside of Stockholm, the capitol where all now live.
Its about a certain vibe, a sense of humour and a unique language that combines the four and explodes in the music.
Its about pushing boundaries and challenging not only themselves as a group, but the listener as well.
Its hiphop made by a generation of headz brought up on the classic shit when the culture was groundbreaking and far from the multi-million dollar industry its become. An industry where the quick buck and the fake look have become so much more interesting than being innovative as the pioneers once were.
They sound like the lost electrofunk tapes, minimalistic with a taste of the 80´s and with the man Prince watching over the four underdogs guiding them safely through the process.
The name of the group is taken from famous Swedish filmdirector Roy Anderssons debut En k..rlekshistoria and its English title. That movie really sumarize the feeling the group has had for a long time and its basically all about struggle, conflicts and dreams

Sytrarna Brick och Lace har en jamaicansk pappa och en amerikansk mamma, vilket återspeglar sig i deras musik som är en mix av snärtigaste R&B och smittsam dancehall.
Brick & Lace aka Nyanda och Nailah Thorbourne är Akons nya satsning, och tillsammans har R&B-duon gjort succé med låtarna "Jamaican Girl","Never Never" och senaste hiten "Love Is Wicked".
Enligt tjejerna själva står namnet Brick & Lace för två olika sidor hos en kvinna. Brick representerar den starka sidan, vilket reflekteras genom hårda beats och texter, medan Lace står för en mer sexig och flörtig sida. Musiken är självklart influerad av dancehall då de båda har ursprung från Jamaica, men själva säger de att deras sound är sexy roots.
