Interests

  • General

Naturally, raising my kids is my first priority. My personal interests or hobbies include history, exploration of world cultures, travel, reading, shopping, and making dirty movies knowing you are going to be watching me! I like swimming, yoga, hiking, and bicycling.

I love Vargas pinup girls, old Playboys, and Sunday brunch in bed. I collect Barbies, antiques, Wedgwood Clio china, Belleek Irish china, and Waterford Crystal.

Spa days, getting my back rubbed, going to shows of all kinds, getting out of my house! Riding horses. Surprises! Being spoiled completely rotten! Peel me a grape.

If you really wanna know, listen to my playlist at www.playlist.com.

Everything from AC/DC to Sublime, The Beatles, Alice in Chains and other local grunge former superheroes, such as Mother Love Bone and Soundgarden.

    I was a punk rocker/death metal headbanger when I was 15 - 17 years old!

Now I'm more into Harry Belafonte.

Funk! Rick James, Earth Wind & Fire! Al Green. Trippy club music. Opera/Operetta, classical, Good Ole Irish foot stompin music, Gaelic love songs a capella (tears my heart out), Old School Rap. Swing. Music I can dance to, whether it's disco or a waltz. Van Halen with David Lee Roth!! Edith Piaf.

I like children's songs I sing with my kids in the car, and they don't care that my singing voice sucks.

  • Movies

Monty Python - pretty much anything they've done. Pursuit of Happyness, "Fight Club", "Secret of Roan Inish" (Great Irish movie, like a fairy tale), "Shawshank Redemption", "Seven Year Itch" with Marilyn Monroe, Elvis "Blue Hawaii", "Gone With The Wind" (I would SO do Clark Gable back then!), "Pretty In Pink" (I still love Jon Cryer on 2 1/2 Men), "Breakfast Club", "St. Elmo's Fire", "Purple Rain", "Wizard of Oz", "The Limey", "DeepThroat" (the original), Historical documentaries, and anything that does not have singing, dancing cartoon farm animals or superheroes. Oh, yeah! Anything I've been in! All of it Oscar worthy. All of it.
  • Television

The Simpsons. Just ask me any trivia question.... Saturday Night Live! Weeds, Family Guy, The Muppet Show! I have the first season on DVD + a couple special edition disks that have Elton John and Harry Belafonte as guest stars. I love John Denver in Grandma's Featherbed sketch. Cold Case Files. I love when they get the bad guy.
  • Books

You should see my collection! What to choose? Many books on King Henry VIII, biographies, such as "Isabella of Spain", "Eleanor of Acquitaine", and "Nell Gwynn."

My favorite author is Frank McCourt. Angela's Ashes and anything else by Frank McCourt.

I also have a few questions for the early leaders of the Catholic/Christian church and those who wrote/transcribed the bible throughout history (including William Tyndale and Martin Luther).

"Dreams of My Father" and "Audacity of Hope" by Barack Obama. I highly recommend that you read Barack's books and find out for yourself why he would be our country's next - and one of the greatest - Presidents. I think he's a lot like JFK - handsome, articulate, educated, and forward-thinking.

"Freakonomics" and "Armchair Economics". "Collapse" and "Guns, Germs & Steel" by Jared Diamond. "Being Peace" and "Touching Peace" by Thic Nhat Han.

Chelsea Handler (both books are hilarious!), Jenny McCarthy. Parenting books. Irish/Celtic/Gaelic Myths and Heroes. Love stories - Heloise and Abelard.

Books by cancer survivors, books by survivors of abuse, the holocaust, or personal tragedy. McGuffey's Readers. My bible from 1850. "Costumes and Dress throughout History".

    Irish-English dictionary. Spanish-English dictionary French-English dictionary Italian-English dictionary Latin-English dictionary

Oh! I'm reading a great new book by Nkrumah Steward. Social-political commentary and juicy as hell! He's a relatively new author and I think his views and the way he puts things is ... well it's all things to all people of course...."Sometimes When You Pursue the Beast It Eats You"....check it out. Not for my sake. For you.

You can see his profile over there in my Top 40. No, never met him, but he is THAT COOL that I would put him up there.

  • Heroes

My number 1 favorite charitable organization is http://www.nigerfistula.org. My heroes are: Any woman who has given birth in a Third World country, People who care about more than just themselves, and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Don't talk the talk if you don't walk the walk, baby.

The people I admire most: MY GRANDPARENTS. Married 61 years and my grandpa still pinches granny's butt! They are solid, honest people I love and respect. Also, my mom. After all, look who she had to raise! She tried really hard and did her best as a single mom. My hat's off to her.

About me:

Download my pictures and videos now at BethanySweet.com!

I am trying to kill and permanently squash racism. Racism is yesterday's news, just like the earth being flat. Celebrate culture and learn from each other, give when you can, and take only when you really need it.

I have a weird knack for remembering trivia, such as phone numbers and song lyrics. I can also listen to almost any song and tell you what the lyrics are. That used to be a really cool trick before there was the Internet...

I am freakishly bendy and limber. I can point my toes as hard as a ballet dancer, and my arms and legs bend to a point almost backwards. Guys love that shit!

I love British humor. Like Amy Winehouse. Not much has changed with British humor from the old Monty Python days. Can you see Amy at the Ministry for Silly Hair? Yeah, me too.

PLEASE NOTE! I do not have the time to answer every single email I get. Please don't take it personally if I don't get back to you. Thanks for understanding!

Who I'd like to meet:

I'm always interested in meeting other people in the entertainment industry. Tell me a joke or something! What do you bring to the table?

People I'd like to meet: Thic Nhat Han, Barack Obama, David Lee Roth, Madeline Kahn, Steve Martin, Debra Jo Fondren (she was Playmate of the Year 1978 and was famous for her long hair), Frank McCourt (I'd like to meet Malachy McCourt too!), Jared Diamond, Theodore Dalrymple, my biggest fan, Jenny McCarthy, Buddha, and Chelsea Handler.

An Irish man went to confession in St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

'Father', he confessed, 'it has been one month since my last confession.

I had sex with Nookie Green twice last month.
    '
The priest told the sinner,'You are forgiven. Go out and say three Hail Mary's.
    '
Soon thereafter, another Irish man entered the confessional.
    'Father,
it has been two months since my last confession.
    I've had sex with
Nookie Green twice a week for the past two months.
    '
This time, the priest questioned,'Who is this Nookie Green?'
'A new woman in the neighborhood,' the sinner replied.

'Very well,' sighed the priest. Go and say ten Hail Mary's.

At mass the next morning, as the priest prepared to deliver the sermon,
a tall, voluptuous, drop-dead gorgeous redheaded woman entered the sanctuary.

The eyes of every man in the church fell upon her as she slowly sashayed
up the aisle and sat down right in front of the priest.

Her dress was green and very short, and she wore matching,
    shiny emerald-green shoes.

The priest and the altar boy gasped as the woman in the green dress
and matching green shoes sat with her legs spread slightly apart,
but just enough to realize she wasn't wearing any underwear.

The priest turned to the altar boy and whispered,
    'Is that Nookie Green?'
The bug-eyed altar boy couldn't believe his ears but managed to calmly
reply, 'No Father, I think it's just a reflection from her shoes'.

    Happy Patricks day !
