The hype-band Sweet Cherry Fury has just signed with the Superbacana's production, which means that from now on we will be responsible for the band's upcoming shows and production. In August the band will hit the road after some time producing the new album and studying a lot.
SCF started in the beginning of 2004 and released the demo "Skirts show rock" in the end of 2005. The band went through different line-ups keeping just the originals guitar, bass and keyboard player. In 2006 the music COLD BLONDE BODY was recorded (by their latest formation) during their participation on the TV show TramaVirtual's "Banho de estúdio" which is aired by Multishow. In the same year, the band has won the NoCapricho's competition and was elected the third best young band of the world by the BBC - on their annual THE NEXT BIG THING competition - receiving compliments from judges like: Courtney Love, William Orbit, Geoff Travis, James Brown and Gary Powell (Libertines, Dirty Pretty Things).
In the beginning of 2007 they recorded their debut album, named "Queen's Way" which still unsigned. With all the freshness that only the youth can provide, the band is aiming to play fun and alternative rock using their diversity of electronics melodies.
A Sweet Cherry Fury nasceu em 2004 de uma idéia despretensiosa das atuais baixista e guitarrista da banda. Passando por várias formações, a banda consolidou o nome com a gravação da demo ”Skirts Show Rock” em 2005, contendo as músicas :Main Suite, Pussy Cat e Martini Cocktail, além de versões próprias de músicas já conhecidas.
Com uma agenda de shows sempre lotada, a Sweet Cherry Fury dividiu o palco com grandes expoentes do rock nacional além de já ter tocado em show e eventos importantes. A nova formação, composta por: Marcella Marinelli (vocalista), Nika (baixista), Isabela (tecladista), Marina (guitarrista), Guilherme (guitarrista) e Mariana (baterista); vem se destacando na cena musical nacional e , recentemente, internacional. O lançamento do novo CD de inéditas (Queen's Way, produzido por Clayton Martin) está para acontecer, mas você pode conferir três faixas aqui no Myspace.
