All, In the last week or so I have gotten 5-10 phishing "comments" from my friend's hacked profiles. These comments purport to show a myspace video or a Macy's gift card (STUPID MACY'S GIFT CARD). But when you click on them, you are forwarded to a fraudulent myspace site where you are told "you have to be logged in to do that" and it asks for your login details. It looks like myspace, it feels like myspace, BUT this is NOT myspace. Rather this is a sneaky "phisher" trying to get your login details. And let me tell you, s/he's duped a number of my friends the last 2 weeks.
So first of all, if you have any Macy's Gift Card comments or myspace videos that don't actually play, delete them so nobody else will click on them. Second, if you are suspiciously prompted for your password after you are already logged in, check the url (usually it will say vid.myspace or vidspace or byspace or something not right). Lastly, if your friend posts one of these commentsto your page, don't hate them, but tell them they've been hacked and to change their password! Alternatively, you could pass this message along to them and send it to all your friends.
