Sweet electra is just about ready to release their third album, When We Abandoned Earth. Nardiz and Giovanni have been crafting the songs for a year now--a year full of emotional, memorable experiences in their new home, New York City. The album is nostalgic. It's dramatic. It's spacey dreamy orchestral pop.

*Carlo Nicolau improvised on the violin for several songs.

*Grammy winner Juan Sosa on drums.

*Stephen Yonkin of Zigmat played the bass.

"Spanish duo Sweet Electra touches on electronica with its third album, “When We Abandoned The Earth,” but mostly offers a shiny, pop affair that isn’t too far afield from synth pop acts of the late ‘80s — you can feel the Ultravox ooze out of the songs. Hola Amigos estamos muy contentos de anunciarles que ya tenemos en nuestras manos el nuevo disco y nos encanto la odisea de grabar en Nueva York y acordarnos de nuestros amigos y gente en Mexico lo que dio como finalidad un disco nostalgico y lleno de emociones, espero que lo disfruten tanto como nosotros disfrutamos el proceso al grabarlo y por ahi les pasamos quienes estan involucrados en el proyecto de WHEN WE ABANDONED EARTH.

En el disco participan talentos con gran reconocimiento y trayectoria dentro del ámbito artistico que residen en la ciudad Nueva York , tál es el caso de:

Carlo Nicolau,
Compositor, productor y arreglista, creador de la agencia de publicidad RAZORHEAD MUSIC.

Juan Sosa,
Ganador del Grammy Latino 2007, participa en la ingeniería del disco además de grabar batería en dos de los temas.

Stephen Yonkin,
Colabora en el bajo eléctrico y es actual integrante del grupo Zigmat

En la parte del arte del disco colabora la artista plástica Ethel Cooke, creando una imágen clara de lo que representa el sonido del disco.

Todos los temas del disco fueron compuestos por Nardiz Cooke y Giovanni Escalera.
