Sweet Georgia Brown was born in South Carolina, during the summer months, Georgia was brought to New York City, where she was enrolled at the Victoria School of Music in Harlem, studying Tap Dance and receiving Vocal training. At nine years of age Georgia made her stage debut at Carnegie Hall in the musical, "Alice in Wonderland," as a tap dancer. Her family relocated to New York City and Georgia began High School. During these years she sang at the weekly assembly and in the Chorus, representing her school in the All Star Chorus Competition, and winning.
Starring in, "An Evening at the Cotton Club" as Bessie Smith, Georgia toured throughout Europe entertaining audiences with her high-energy performances of Jazz, Blues, and Gospel tunes! Georgia has performed with Dizzy Gillespie, George Benson, Fathead Newman, KoKo Taylor and Stanley Turrentine!
