Sweet Gravitii [sweet][grav-i-tee] consists of Michael, Steve, Lyle, and Patrick. We mostly play original R&B and dive into funk, punk, pop, fusion, some jazz, and reggae. No need for a bloated bio here filled with egotistical statements, self-importance, inflated diction, and accolades. Sweet Gravitii is the sum of four guys on a stage or in a room busting out the sweetest r&b that we can muster. It's all about having fun while on a quest to create honest original music. However, sometimes we slip in the occasional cover. We have played many impressive clubs around the twin cities for years but are reluctant to name-drop. That just isn’t our style. In fact, you won't find pictures of us on our website. A band is only as good as their current gig schedule, the last song that they wrote, or the music that they have released.
You may find hints of the Meters, Bobby Womack, Tribal Tech, the Descendents, James Brown, or others, but that does not fully encompass our sound. Everyone interprets music differently and we feel that you are intelligent enough to draw your own conclusions. Hopefully you'll enjoy our titillating blend of ear sex. If not, consider adjusting your antenna. You might find yourself becoming obsessed with the songs and want to fill your every orifice with Sweet Gravitii. Thankfully the anatomically correct Sweet Gravitii dolls are still on back order. Anyway, we have said too much so we will stop here. Thanks for listening or stumbling upon us.
