Landowners, neighbors, and concerned residents are joining together in a multi-faceted struggle to end the $4 billion debacle that is this road. 450 Indiana families stand to be evicted, and a growing number are committing not to bend over easily to INDOT’s intimidation tactics. Eminent Domain suits, community solidarity networks, public meetings, nature walks and bike rides along the route, barbeques, marches, and demonstrations allow participation in this effort by folks of all commitment levels and time constraints. Nearly 10,000 fertile acres await a fate of asphalt and concrete if we fail to act, but this road is not a done deal, and this first act of physical land defense will not be the last. As long as bulldozers continue to threaten our communities we will do everything we can to stop them. I'm Not Listening	Aug 10 2006 8:24 PM If You Care About Future Skate Sessions Hey all yawl wheelie boarding, wood pushing curb squirrels, the new Homewoods bowl on the southeast side of Bloomington is only 6 cement trucks loads away from being done. Now is when we need everyones help, this Friday and this Monday we will need as many people as we can get to help carry concrete and load work trucks for only two hours (at least six fools). We would like to start both days off at 1:00pm (thats 2:30pm hung over hippie time). We realize that everybodys got their own shit to deal with, and the heat has been insane lately, but we only have a four-week window before the owner of the property, Bart, leaves. After that Bart will be gone until next summer, and all the work we have done will get messed up over the winter.This cant happen. Bart asked me to organize some work parties so the bowl will be done by the end of this summer! So if your down then send me a message possibility with your phone .., your availability, and Ill try to work something out. Im also trying to arrange car-pooling, but if you need directions I can get them to you. If you care about having fun future skate sessions, dont front and show up.
¡Justin!	Aug 4 2006 10:28 AM I stopped in your store a number of times while I was in Bloomington for Plan-It-X Fest and it's by far one of the best record stores i've ever seen. It's relieving to see a record store that carries more than just beat-up copies of classic rock hits. And while you had several in Bloomington, it's pretty uncommon to find here in Northern Wisconsin. Good luck with the store and keep getting the good music out there.
