About me:

My husband and I have been married for 18 years. We were blessed with two children; a girl and a boy.

My husband has served in the Army since 1988. He is an OIF disabled veteran. He was stationed there from 2003 to 2005. I was the Family Readiness Leader for our unit from 2000 to 2006.

I enjoy making new friends, I enjoy reading myspace friend blogs, I'm conservative and I support our troops regardless of how you feel. I'm open-minded, but I will take a stand in what I believe. Be honest with yourself and you'll be honest with everyone else.

"Being All That You Are"

How many times have you felt insecure? In that you weren't quite good enough That you failed the test to be the best And that your actions would be rebuffed?

How many times have you felt rejection? By someone who didn't understand Though your motives were right; your intentions were pure Your explanation was all but banned?

How many times have you felt unworthy? Of sincere actions or good deeds When you thought someone was better; much better than you And you thought it wise to quietly concede?

How many times have you been rebuked? By something you said or did When you were misjudged and meant no harm As your actions or words were only misread?

We have all experienced these disheartened ordeals At one time or another in our life But at the very same time we are who we are And we must get past the grief and the strife.

By searching our souls and looking deep inside We can assess our qualities and traits And by honoring our strengths and identifying our flaws We can truly overcome and slowly elevate.

Insecurities, rejection and unworthiness are very real feelings and thoughts, and very difficult ones to overcome. To prevail over any of these obstacles, it requires a very deep and honest soul-searching. We are not and never will be perfect, no matter how much we would like to be.

To be able to recognize our own personality flaws and do whatever we can to change or improve on them is one of the most difficult steps we can ever take. In the end, however, the rewards are very satisfying. Not only will we feel better about ourselves, but we will have accomplished the biggest step we will ever take to becoming all that we are and all that we were meant to be.

I wear no uniforms, no blues or army greens but I am in the Army in the ranks rarely seen. I have no rank upon my shoulders - salutes I do not give but the military world is the place where I live. I'm not in the chain of command, orders I do not get but my husband is the one who does, this I can not forget. I'm not the one who fires the weapon, who puts my life on the line but my job is just as tough. I'm the one that's left behind. My husband is a patriot, a brave and prideful man and the call to serve his country not all can understand, behind the lines I see the things needed to keep this country free. My husband makes the sacrifice, but so do our kids and me. I love the man I married, Soldiering is his life but I stand among the silent ranks known as the Army Wife.
