Sweet June was born in late 2008 and debuted at the Edinburgh Festival in August that year to wonderful reviews
"...This is beautiful, organic contemporary Irish music with traditional elements peeping through..."
3 Weeks [official Edinburgh Festival live review]
Formed out of love of the 60's and 70's acid folk ethos it fuses contemporary melodies and guitar-based riffs. More akin to a freestyle Pentangle sound with overtones of John Martyn thrown in, Mia and John perform with an intense percussive style of complex finger-picking coupled with sublime vocal harmonies.
