A band on the cutting edge of reggae, Sweet Justice weighs in with an energizing sound and stage show that is taking crowds in the US and Caribbean by storm. The South Florida based band recently signed a deal with indie record label, Big Joint Records, to produce the band's third CD. This support is just what the original band needed to take it to new levels. Currently in the studio, the new CD is scheduled to be released in the Spring of 2009.
With veteran frontmen, Clement "Fowl" Lightbourne, and dancehall extraordinaire, Lenkey Paul, Sweet Justice exudes energy that most reggae artists could only dream about. The band has performed with reggae greats Steel Pulse, Damian Marley, Third World, Ziggy Marley, Rita Marley, Beres Hammond, Yellowman, and UB40 among many others. In the early 2000's, Sweet Justice was a regular at Universal Studio's Tribute to Marley attraction in Orlando. After garnering exposure from this opportunity, the band toured extensively in the Turks and Caicos Islands and the US and British Virgin Islands.
In 2007, Sweet Justice was selected to perform on the nationally televised AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour featuring Olympic gold medalists Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh. Additionally, the band performed at the hugely popular James Island Reggae Series in Charleston, SC as well as festivals throughout Florida.
Watch out for Sweet Justice at a city or an island near you!
Please take 2 minutes out of your schedule to fill out a short survey of 11 short questions and also help spread the word as soon as possible.
30,000 surveys completed yet there is only less than 10 days to do so. With your help, this can happen. That is why we need your help to forward this email to everyone you know who is of Caribbean Origin or decent and ask them to do the same.
Post bulletins on your myspace, Facebook, and Twitter. Send to all of your contact lists. Get radio stations to announce it. Newspapers to print it. Anything you can do to help.
Please click the link below to fill out a survey which will help to obtain the necessary data needed to show that there is a large Caribbean population in the US and that "WE NEED OUR OWN" Nationwide Official Caribbean TV Channel 24/7. The Hispanics have Telemundo and Univision yet we (The Caribbeans in USA) have nothing. That is because we have not pulled together and made it known that it is wanted.
Anyone who believes in the cause can fill out the survey, they do not have to be of Caribbean origin but would love to have a TV Channel dedicated to Caribbean Culture, Music, Movies, documentaries, dramas, news, religion, sports, etc.
Think about it, a Caribbean TV Channel in the US would help Caribbean artists, music, Caribbean products and tourism to get mainstream exposure and improve the Caribbean's economy.
All of your information is kept private and will not be not sold or shared. If you do not want to give your address that is ok, just make sure to give your city, state and zip so that they know what areas would want it most.
We hope we can count on you to assist me and fill out the survey and pass it on.
Please send this to everyone you have in your email lists and encourage them to pass it on and do the same.
