About me:
1ST TUESDAY / 2ND SATURDAY EVERY MONTH
Sweet Memory Sounds is a club night that is currently in its 4th year at the Nottinghill Arts Club, London's cutting edge live music venue and night club.
Resident Djs: DJ Derek, Adam Callan, Tom Murray... Live bands. Runs 1st Tuesday and 2nd Saturday every month.
Rock n Roll, Soul, Ska, Reggae, R&B, Rock, the unique vibe you can only find on SMS. We have DJs playing groove based music to move to, with the DJ sets having an emphasis on black music but on the live front opening up the vibe to anything we love. SMS has enjoyed guest residencies from the likes of Gaz Mayall, one off DJ spots from Natty, Pama International, Duke Vin, and many more and on the live front had performances from bands as diverse as No.1 Station, Dreadzone Soundsystem, Morrisson Steam Fayre, Alan Pownall, Sam Beer, or The Trojans. .
The night has also become home to Hoodoo Scoundrels who have a residency on alternating months. The band are very much a modern phenomenon, taking their favourite elements from the ska, blues and funk they love but bringing it firmly into the 21st century with a rock/indie twist.
