Now that I have got you wondering...
Other than my family (of course) I have one other complete love in my life, CAPOEIRA. For all the unknowing, capoeira is a brazilian martial art. It is sometimes called a dance and other times a fight, but in truth it all depends on the people and the game. It can be either or both. I have been a student of the art for 5 years and it consumes most of my life. The rest of the time consist of being a retail supervisor at Best Buy and finishing up the last of my education at the University of Texas, studying Business.
Ok so I lied, I do have a few more things that I love. I love words, therefore writing poetry comes naturally to me (check out my blogs if you want a taste). Being able to put together words that make people feel loved or just feel is something very special to me. Music and dancing are also a part of me. I love all kinds of music. I am the person you see singing to the radio and drumming my fingers on the steering wheel or who will dance in the living room at home alone. I also love to read and have a fondness for the supernatural genres.
I DECIDED TO ADD A FEW OF MY POEMS TO MY PAGE, SO PLEASE ENJOY!
THE JUDGEMENT
You have charged me with trespassing, breaking and entering, and assault.
I sit here alone and sober.
Educated or not, no one can represent me better than myself.
I slide a glance your way as the judge asks you to the stand.
You swear before the judge and jury and more importantly before God, to tell the truth.
This gives me some hope.
Then you begin your story. . .
“When I met her I was lonely
I didn’t expect more than a few nights
But she trespassed into my mind
I started thinking about her during the day
And dreaming about her during the night
I was beginning to have hopes for the future
She broke down my barriers with her words
And entered into my cautious incomplete heart
She made me fall in love with her
And yearn for her love in return
She assaulted my senses
I craved her soft touch
I longed to hear her sexy passion-filled voice
I desired her exotic scent
I needed to see her tremble and shake
I hungered for her unique flavor
I wanted to instinctively know that I had made her reach her highest peak”
I saw the tears in her eyes
I saw the jury look to me for remorse
At that moment I couldn’t even pretend remorse
I watched her walk back to her seat with hunger in my soul
Now it was my turn. . .
