Sudan, the largest country in Africa is probably the most forgotten country in the world. It is home to over 41 million citizens of many, diverse cultures. Fifty percent of Sudan describes themselves as black and forty percent Arabs. Seventy percent of their religion is Muslim and five percent Christian, the rest is various. Today, the people of Sudan have found themselves trapped in genocide. This conflict has left 400,000 people killed and more than 2 million forced from their homes. This is Sudan’s story; this is the voice of millions of people suffering who can not speak out.

thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped make this event happen! thank you to everyone who showed up and gave your support! i hope everyone had as much fun as i did! big thank you to mallory & her friends for being good leaders. thanks for letting me rock the mic and be an impromptu MC (if i knew prior to the show that i would be talking on stage, i would've been prepared and memorized/met all the bands. everything i said on stage was improvised and pulled out of my ass. hope you guys liked it hehe!) mallory, maybe it would be cool to ask everyone to post they're pics from the event on the same webpage and we could make a yearbook/collage type thing and show it to SaveDarfur Coalition/Holocaust Museum/government officials...etc
the concert was great, but remember our work is not over yet. genocide is still happening as you read this. human rights is an ongoing project. please continue to do whatever you can to help-in darfur, in any part of the world, in your own community. whenever you are made aware of an injustice, you must have the courage to act and do what is right. "You must BE THE CHANGE you wish to see in the world"-Gandhi thank you all so much. remember that you each made a difference. peace! -rob
on saturday, i'm gonna change my profile pic to match the one on this page. it would be cool as hell is all of us did it too! can't wait! see you there! -rob
hi everybody, i printed out all of the flyers for this event (i gathered them from this page & the facebook pages. basically, i have a total of 4 flyers. maybe it would help to designate am "official" event flyer, so that we maintain consistency & avoid any possible confusion. you all have done an amazing job on each flyer, so any of them would be good. my only suggestion is to ensure that the "official" flyer is not only the most attention-grabbing , but also the one that contains the most information. thanks! keep up the amazing work! can't wait! -rob
Thank you for the tremendous work you are doing for the people of Darfur! Keep up the great work. I'm disabled and in Philadelphia, or else I would definitely attend your event. Everyone who can possibly attend, NEEDS to attend. Thank you again! Peace. Eric
