About me:

I read a lot - fiction, creative non-fiction, magazines and blogs. Google Reader just changed my life. So did my first library card. Well, that's a lie. I've been reading since three. That just gave me access to new books.

I grew up the only white kid in the hood, and thusly listen to a LOT of hip-hop. Like way more than you've even heard of. Though if you asked me right now, my favorite artist is Cat Power. No, that doesn't make sense to me, either.

My exceptionally eclectic tastes also extend to movies and television. I finally got on the Lost bandwagon, and really have no issues with Season 2 or the Season 3 "pod." Everyone needs to remember that this is all part of the plan. I'm a huge sucker for shows with heart, and believe Radio Free Roscoe to be the most tragic cancellation of the last five years. However, The Class is about to take it's place. Heartbreakers is the best date flick you've never watched. Also, Sin City was fucking awesome. And not just because it had Jessica Alba pole dancing in chaps. Well, maybe a little.

I write and perform spoken word poetry, which is ironic because I consider myself a prose writer at heart, and still get DUMB nervous before/while speaking in front of a group. However, I've been told this doesn't show (mostly). My works (all forms) are posted at The BC Barbershop, which I haven't updated in months.
