my name is Louis Batey ("SWING CAT").
I am a Songwriter/Solo Artist and I write all my own original songs, in the
style of Swing, Jive, Rhythm & Blues and Western Swing.
The songs you are now hearing on my Myspace.com Music Profile Page, were written, produced and recorded by me. Also, I performed all Lead/Backing Vocals and I played every Musical Instrument on all the songs on my Myspace.com Music Profile Page.
My Musical Influences are:
Big Band/Swing (Glen Miller,Count Basie Duke Ellington and all the Big Band Swing Greats). Jazz/Rhythm & Blues (Louis Jordan, Louis Prima, Louis Armstrong, Big Joe Turner, Ray Charles, Charlie Parker), Rock & Roll (Elvis Presley, Bill Haley And The Comets), The Rat Pack (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr), Western Swing (Tennessee Ernie Ford). These great talented artists had a profound musical influence on me and inspired me to learn a Musical Instrument. I want to keep the memory of my musical heroes alive, by writing, recording and performing my own original songs in the same musical genre.
I enjoy Swing/Jive Dancing as a hobby, as well as writing and recording all my own original songs.
