Pottstown is very rich with swing dance history. Back in the swing era, people came from all over the mid-atlantic region of the U.S. to dance at the famous Sunnybrook Ballroom as well as the other numerous ballrooms that lined the main street of downtown Pottstown. When people thought "Pottstown," they thought "dancing!" The town has seen many changes since its golden days, but the unique history is still here, and the dance scene is thriving once again! Come be part of it!!!

Come swing dance to Barbone Street in West Chester PA on Thursday evening, June 5, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. We are at the intersection of Gay and Church Streets. Couple of blocks closed to vehicles and dancers are invited by both us and the Borough. Sidewalk cafes operating, like a big block party. The event is FREE, theme is Swinging Thursday Night In West Chester. Paul Salter is bringing sand.
Hey guys should be able to make it back out there soon...Sorry I've been really really sick....And I mean really sick...I got worse then what I was like last year...But I'm getting better..So hopefully I'll see you all soon....I miss you guys!!
Thanks for checking out some vaudevillian ragtime/jugband blues and hillbilly swing! Studies are inconclusive as to whether this music improves your health, but we would like to try it out on you anyway.
