To: Everyone out at the Friday Night UCF Swing Dance,
Normally right now, following a Friday Night Swing Dance, I would be doing my routine of processing all the nights great shots.
The Good News is, I can honestly say that I have some great ones this time around.
The Bad News, when I got home and began the process of uploading of all the photos I realized or should I say I was informed that my main media storage drive was full. I mean full, it was within 1.5MB to being completely maxed out. So instead of getting to do my usual processing I have to spend some time transferring data from my internal media drive to my much larger external hard drive. I knew this day would come but I did not realize I was so close to it. I guess the nearly 4GB of Swing Photos a week was a problem.
So no worries, I have all the pictures I took, the files are fine. They are just being shuffled around right now. Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get it all done. Thanks for understanding.
People are asking of Battle Knights will be representing in this year's Battle of the Cities. I've told them that I was not sure. On one hand, I heard rumors that there is a new team that has been practicing. OCD, on the other hand, is ready to rock the party. They are determined not to have Battle Knights kick their tushies like they did last year. What do you have to say for yourself?

Just days away is the big event at Dance Orlando! UCF Students get a special ticket price $10; just show your student ID at the door; no need to purchase an advance ticket. See you there!
So that everyone is aware, there are some wonderful events coming up in the next few weeks along with some very big changes in the schedules of some of those events! Please do the dance community a huge favor and spread the word so that nobody is left out. Here are the changes.
1. The Rollins Swing Nights (usually 1st and 3rd Saturday) have completely different dates in October. The next Rollins Swing Night is September 29, 2007. This is because the October 6, 2007 date is cancelled due to the Swing Dance USA Championships in Tampa.
2.September 29, 2007 is also the date of our Charleston Workshop at Rollins College.
3. October 20, 2007 the Rollins Swing Night is rescheduled due to a special swing event at Dance Orlando with a live band. The normal UCF Swing Knights Dance on Friday, October 19, 2007 is cancelled because the venue is not available. However, Rollins Swing Night will be hosting their dance on that same evening in order to give people a place to dance on that Friday 19, 2007!!! Yay!!! The dance goes from 9 p.m. - 1 a.m. There is no beginner lesson.
