About me:

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING: "The Swing States Road Show provided a thoroughly entertaining evening of engaging, socially conscious music, weaving seamlessly from rhythm to rhythm, style to style, swapping leads and harmonies with ease. At the conclusion of their final song, the audience had no choice but to demand an encore with a standing ovation. We have heard nothing but kudos for the Road Show’s rousing performance." Greg Shupe Special Events Coordinator Baltimore Folk Music Society ____________________________________________________________ "I was impressed by their ease on stage & their engagement with the audience....heavenly harmonies, clear lyrics and an infectious love of music and song.... What an impressive group of professionals! Not to be missed." Jennifer Downs, Coordinator - Paul Levin Memorial Concert, 2008, Baltimore Waldorf School ____________________________________________________________ The new Swing States Road Show -- featuring F. Vattel Cherry on bass, Judith Geller and Stuart Rodes on vocals along with Lea Jones (me) on vocals and guitar -- sings 'songs of peace love and understanding from Bob Wills to Bob Marley' (and some of my own tunes) and we're based in Baltimore. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Following an Earth Day concert in Owings Mills, Inspiration Community founder Jessica Dibb said of the new band: “It was such a treat to listen to a band that is uplifting, harmonious, creative, and socially conscious all at the same time. Listening to The Swing States Road Show is nourishing personally and transformative for the world.” -------------------------------------------------------------------- When we perform, we'll often start with me spinning some of my solo singer-songwriter material, moving on to Stuart leading group singing (in three part harmony!!), or to Judith and Vattel slingin' snazzy jazz numbers, closing with an hour-long set of feel-good tunes by the Road Show.

This about sums up the recent public debacle of the farce this country pretends to put over on us citizens and dare to call it a "democratic process"... while the man behind the curtain pulls and pushes the levers.........

    Hey folks,

I'm about to venture into making this MySpace thing work... some cool music vids featuring original folk and rock tunes (and bands) I've been involved with of late. I hope you like! Peace.
