The Swingsters are a five piece swing/western swing combo from Austin, Texas. Founded in 2002, The Swingsters have played premier clubs and private engagements in Austin and the surrounding area, and have appeared on local radio. The Swingsters feature several Austin music legends including Tommy Griffith on piano who has been playing in Austin since the early 50's.
The band takes its name from a group based in Austin in the 1940's called Cecil Hogan and the Swingsters that included local legends Jay Clark and Hub Sutter on saxes, Sid Fisher on piano, Jay Bird Thomas on drums and leader Cecil Hogan on electric guitar.
