About me:

Old school technique and equipment fused with the power and ease of digital.

Swink Studios was founded in 1999 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida by George Beswick and quickly grew to become one of the most well known and most requested studios in the area. This came about by George’s fusion of old school ideals and equipment with the precision and flexibility of the then still up and coming digital audio workstation.

The sonority from those ideas got people to the door, the atmosphere kept them coming back.

George’s unwavering attitude that one of the keys to a successful recording is having fun during the long and often times frustrating process, along with his time tested patience and innate ability to pull the best from each and every performer make up that often magical creative atmosphere that has allowed the studio to flourish all these years.

Now relocated to Ashe, North Carolina, Swink Studios is already unleashing is renowned sound, comfortable style of recording, and hard work to support the local music scene. Expect to be hearing a lot from Swink Studios and her Artists in the not to distant future!

The studio’s equipment includes 32 live channels with a mix of tube and digital pre-amplification, Event, Alesis, Ultrasone, Beyerdynamic, and Sony monitoring, Tascam flying fader automated console, Logic Pro 8, Digidesign Protools, a selection of outboard compressors, Line 6 processors, Ampeg amps, Pearl drums, Fender, PRS, and Jackson custom guitars and much more. We also have microphones from Shure, Rode, AKG, Audio Technica, Sennheiser, Audix, Beyerdynamic and once again many more!
