    Proverbs 3:13-18

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.

In Proverbs Lady Wisdom is contrasted with the woman Folly.

    Both women offer an invitation:

Lady Wisdom is like a hostess seeking guests, and Folly is like a hunter seeking prey.

Folly flatters, offering food, wine, sex, and pleasure.

Lady Wisdom requires obedience, concentration, hard work, and loyalty.

Those who respond to Folly’s invitation lose their strength, their health, and ultimately their lives; but those who respond to Wisdom’s invitation find beauty, order, life, peace, a good reputation, longevity, honor, wealth, and blessing.

Lady Wisdom is training students to set them free, while Folly is enslaving her captors.

    Lady Wisdom produces inner
    strength, individuality, self-respect,
reverence for God, excellence in skill, and depth of insight.

The woman of Folly rejects authority, won’t listen to reproof, and has a loose tongue. Those who find initial pleasure at her table end with bitter regret.

Both Folly and Lady Wisdom invite fools to come sit at their table, but they serve up entirely different menus..

Lord help us to be wise.. Hi Amy, Hope all is well...Love, Colleen

    Psalm 46: 1-5

1 God is our refuge and strength,
    an ever-present help in trouble.

2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.

    Selah

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.

    5 God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.

    1. Our refuge. Our only, impregnable, accessible, delightful place of retreat is our God.

    2. Our strength. Our all sufficient, unconquerable, honourable, and emboldening strength is our God.

    3. Our help. Ever near, sympathising, faithful, real, and potent is our God.

When the storm of life are swirling around us, we thank you Lord that your Word never changes. You are a refuge for us, a shelter in the storm. Help us to know that not just intellectually, but deep within our hearts and our spirits. In Jesus Name, Amen..

God Bless you today Amy, Love Colleen

    THE REFINERS FIRE

As God's Creations, most of us have gone through "fire" in one way or another and, hopefully, we learned from the experience. Through our trials and tribulations, rough edges were smoothed and sharp edges were sluffed off, until we more closely resembled what we were meant to be.

"For a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
    "
    (I Peter 1:6-7)

Romans 5:3-5: "But not only that, let us also boast in our troubles; because we know that trouble produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope; and this hope does not let us down, because Gods' love for us has already been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
    "

Did you notice: Suffering builds character! A. W. Tozer said, "God has to hurt a man deeply before he can use him greatly." (Example: Billy Graham's son, Franklin, before he took over his father's ministry, was an atheist, an alcoholic and a blasphemer...)

So if you are in the furnace of affliction, don't despair, GOD is in CONTROL. This trial WILL end and God's TIMING is PERFECT..

Job 42:2 "I know that You can do all things, And that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.

Jeremiah 32:17 'Ah Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You,

Jeremiah 32:27 "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?"

Matthew 19:26 And looking at them Jesus said to them, "With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.
    "

Luke 1:37 "For nothing will be impossible with God.
    "

Romans 4:21 and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform.
    (NASB ©1995)

Genesis 18:14 "Is anything too difficult for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah will have a son.
    "

Sarah knew what God had promised, but as time wore on her faith waned. Therefore she laughed when the angels came to confirm that the promise was indeed true and would be fulfilled soon. Amy if God has given you dreams and hopes and promises, don't let go of them. Stand firm and see the salvation of your God.
Don't doubt in the darkness what God has promised in the light!!

God Bless You Sweet Sister, Love.
