Switchblade Scream is a heavy metal band based in Glasgow, Scotland formed in 2007.

Founded by Stuart McLeod (bass guitar) and Gary Law (guitars), Switchblade Scream has quickly become a crowd favourite at any show they play.

Taking a huge range of various musical and non-musical influences they blend together to create what some call “epic thrash power glam metal”.

The bands current line up is:

Switchblade Scream have already achieved so much in their short career, the future is certainly awaiting them and they are more than ready to greet whatever may come with passion and drive.

Switchblade Scream (a.k.a “The Blade”) is known for a distinctive guitar style, often involving melodic, intricate musical passages, and trade-off guitar solos. Switchblade Scream is also known for there relentlessly pounding rhythm section.

At a Switchblade Scream show you can expect a lot of head banging, a party atmosphere and 5 guys on stage doing what they love to make sure everyone in the audience is having a great time.

To date, “The Blade” has played to huge reception both at home and abroad, playing their first international shows in March 2009 on a mini-tour of Italy.

After a massive nation wide competition around Scotland to find the best local metal band, Switchblade Scream won the Scottish “Metal to the Masses” heats which secured them a slot at 2009’s Bloodstock Open Air’s “Unsigned Tent” stage where they played to a tent packed with metal maniac’s wanting to have a good time, which the band certainly delivered on!

In early November 2009 the band decided that they needed professional management so a deal was signed between Switchblade Scream and Enterprise Music Management.
