KALEE'S BIO: Sound & Vocal artist, Kalee Coombs was born in the Maine woods and began singing at an early age. Brought up of folk songs and country western music, she soon expanded her interests to classical and world music. Venturing to San Francisco, she earned her BA in Classical Music, while also exploring the realm of psychoacoustics and experimental forms that included, electronic looped vocals and ambient soundscapes. Two years ago, beginning with her purchase of eight Crystal Singing Bowls, Kalee started experimenting and performing first in San Francisco and now in Maine. Using the bowls, she accompanies herself singing own compositions, as well as, and folk songs from around the world. Her own unique style blends together soothing vocals and percussive strokes on crystal bowls that sends the listener to an imaginary and mystical place of bliss.
