Influences
Personally our parents, friends, and amazing clowns at the circus who can pack into a car like sardines and never fail to impress. That latter one may have inspired us to perform. Since not enough people would jump into the van, Travis and Skyeler decided to pack musical equipment to entice the three strangers they picked up on the road....To make a long story short clowns. Our ring leader is Jesus Christ, and when he performs their usually is no joke.
Musically the list is long (no not circus music, we try not to carry on gags that long). We may agree on U2 and other established acts, but you would have to ask each individual member when you come to our show!
Sounds Like
Gorillas beating their chest in anger at the chimps who stole their bananas...More like angels singing you softly to sleep while playing harps...Okay somewhere in between.
Welcome to our official myspace. Check out the music from our new release, The Feelings Inside. Oh and be our friend, we like making them. Also you can be our friend on Facebook.

biography
It isn't an everyday sight to see a 120+ people show up to see an unsigned band play, but Eugene, Oregon based band Flipside accomplishes that at virtually every show. Promoters choose Flipside when national and regional recording artists are traveling through (Sanctus Real, Shawn McDonald, Everyday Sunday, Fireflght, The Kry, Isaakar, the Violet Burning.) This Rock/Alternative group started as an idea in the spring of 1999 with Travis Soverns (Vox, Guitars, Keys) and Skyeler Lewkowicz (Bass). As the musical writing duo matured the band acquired Josiah Plueard (Drums) in 2003, recorded an album and attained Ryan Dasso (Guitars, BG Vox) in 2004, and then started to tour and write even more music. In touring Flipside played in four western states, but primarily focused on the local scene in Eugene.
The band decided to change names at the end of 2007 (formerly Sword 7), not because of a lack of success however. “We felt that our direction had changed,” Lewkowicz commented. “We wanted a name that captured how we felt; changed and matured.” In the process of recording their current edgy project, The Feelings Inside, Flipside recruited one more member Chris Hallford (Guitar, Keys). On Stage the energy, powerful lyrics, and musicianship, keep people coming back for more.
