Josh's Interests
General
Superhero comics, punk music/lifestyle, Gothic literature, and I have a special place in my heart for things that are so common place or ridiculous that they are taken for granted or ignored.... (Sporks! The world's worst fork and the world's worst spoon... yet still loved by me!) FOAMY THE SQUIRREL!!!
Music
In order of favorites: U2, My Chemical Romance, AFI, Green Day, Senses Fail, blink-182, the Beatles, Pink Floyd, the Ramones, Queen, and many more... I also listen to alot of movie/musical soundtracks, some of my favorites being (in no particular order) Star Wars, Phantom of the Opera, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Lord of the Rings
Movies
Lord of the Rings trlogy, Star Wars saga, Nightmare Before Christmas, Indiana Jones trilogy, Marvel superhero movies (X-Men, Spider-man, Daredevil...), anything by Tim Burton, besides the already mentioned Nightmare Before Christmas. ;) James Bond films, Forrest Gump, nearly anything else starring Tom Hanks, Pirates of the Carribbean...
Television
The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, Who Wants to Be a Superhero?, 90's X-Men and Spider-man, Adult Swim, X-Files, Star Trek
Books
Anything ever written by Edgar Allen Poe.... ever... I also like alot of classic Victorian era literature... Les Miserables, Dracula, War of the Worlds, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Phantom of the Opera, as for modern writers, I'm very fond of the way Michael Crichton puts science into a story, and I absolutely love the colorful but (at times frighteningly) realistic characters John Grisham paints in his stories. Anne Rice is also another author absolutely wonderful at putting together a fascinating plot with complex, fascinating characters.
Heroes
Honestly, as far as heroes go, I don't have too many people, aside from close friends and family who have impressed me through the years... Although if anyone would accuse me of hero worship of anyone: Bono, absolutely no doubt about that. Recently, though, Gerard from MCR has risen to hero status. Why? Because he's just a regular guy, a complete geek, who gets up on stage and shows it off and doesn't hide it. I have so much respect for him, his writing, and his music--- and his art, as well.
