Zen is simply the sensation and the clear understanding that, to put it in Zen terms, there are "ten thousand formations; one suchness." That is to say that there is behind the multiplicity of events and creatures in this universe simply one energy - and it appears as you, and everything is it.

Books
I am impressed by authors who excel in their chosen genre.
Check out some of my favorites!
Heroes
My mother - for the strength, independence, focus, and the ability to take care of myself and those around me - for teaching me it is all about what I bring to me, responsibility and guardianship. For teaching me about what it means to be strong and a bitch when necessary.
My husband - for the love, partnership, understanding for who and what I am, and being all that our creative passions allow us to be
My grandmother - for the lessons in elegance, style and grace. For teaching me about what it means to be a Lady.
Goddess Sisters & Sirens - for reminding me who I am and why I am, for understanding the meek and the feral.
Johanna Lindsey - for introducing me to the love of my chosen genre and teaching me that love is what it's all about
Nora Roberts - for teaching me that it is all about the Story
Gena & Kresley - for teaching me that it is all about the craft of the Story
Monica Brant & Victoria Pratt - strong, intelligent, FIT women
Bossman - for the guiding influence into the realm of competitive bodybuilding and Figure Competitions
Sensei Inzana - for teaching me strength and focus in a new realm, and for giving me the basis to pass it along to others.
Myself - for overcoming, over achieving and getting out of my own way. I get nowhere if I don't believe in me...and I teach that strength, passion, and knowledge to the little one who will follow in our footsteps.
About me: The nicest women I know in Figure Competitions....
My other half.....
Writer, Artist, Martial Artist, Figure Competitor, Wife, Mother, Coach,
Mentor...The creation of myself is never ending and ever changing.
My interests evolve as I change.
The Author: Nano 2007 & 2006 were a success.
The month long effort to get 50,000 words in 30 days always helps to jump
start my ability to get any writing done. Of course, for
me...it's more like 2.5 weeks to get the required word count because Cat and
I race. I participate annually (even if I've been writing all year long.) As
2006 ended, I completed the drafts of 4 novels in one year: Mutant
Law, Executive
Pet,
Know
Yourself - Heal Yourself: The Four Pillars of Health & WellBeing,
and this last Nano one.
Quite an accomplishment for only have worked on three over TEN years.
Yes, I learned how to get out of my own way. It's amazing what
you can accomplish when you shut the internal editor up.
The Healtheologist: Health
and fitness is a way of life, not just a quick fix, so I make new strides
in the physique each year. I am a nationally ranked NPA & NGA Figure
Competitor, placing third in my class at each event. I'll be stepping on
stage again in 2008 now that I've gained more mass and am ready to commit
to the process again! I
am currently working on my martial arts with renewed focus and bringing
pup along for the ride.We both manage to rank high in our TKD competitions
so we'll be targeting a few TKD tournaments and adding to the trophy count
in 2008. Cat needs to make more room for the trophies LOL since we collected
quite a few from our 2007 endeavors.
For my training, I use a variety of supplements
(Arbonne, Beverly
International, and Max Muscle); I have begun working out
at PowerHouse Gym
in Woodbridge, and I use hypnosis
and meditation to keep
myself on track. If you want to know about how to work out and what to eat,
while I'm happy to share what works for me,
I'd rather you go sign up for some sessions or consultations with a trainer
in your local area, or find one that offers remote consultation services if
you're more suited to working out on your own. There are a variety of options,
if you look for them. Odds are I know someone in your local area to help support
you!
While I don't update my fitness
blog as much as I do my main one, I usually post my workout information (or
workout PAINS) at http://www.mindbodyspiritworks.com
Who I'd like to meet:
Gentlemen, please repeat after me. I am Married. Quite happily so.
Friends are more than welcome, romance...I am quite content and constantly surprised by the mate I've already chosen, and who has chosen me (please see FIRST picture on my friends list as that would be my husband). For those wanting to chat in hopes of a date or other, I am not looking for dates, no, I don't want to meet for lunch, or drinks...or workout with you at the gym, so please, don't bother.
I consider this space a great way to network. So, I'm looking forward to making new friends from all areas. While quiet and introverted by nature, I enjoy learning about others and learning about what keeps them interested in life. I may not always agree, but I am willing to approach most situations with an open mind.
Also, if you're going to ask for me to add you as a friend, at least message me. I'm looking to make friends with people who have similar interests, not win a popularity contest! :D
