Sydney City Trash have been a band for 6 years. Through constant touring and their amazing, energetic live performances, SC Trash have established a loyal and ever expanding fan base, both in Australia and abroad.
The Trash have played numerous festivals including The Come Together Festival, Earthdance, The St Patricks Day Festival in Sydney's Hyde Park, Reclaim The Streets, The Australian Fleadh as well as headlining at the 2008 Newtown Festival. The boys have toured nationally with bands such as The Fireballs, The Disables and Zombie Ghost Train.
Sydney City Trash have supported a range of international acts, including the likes of Flogging Molly, Gary Og, Declan O'Rourke, Alastair Hulett, Damien Dempsey and British performance artists Dirty Sanchez. Damien Dempsey was so impressed by the band that he offered to record a song with them which features on their new album 'Terror Australis'.
Sydney City Trash have played over 200 shows across Australia, stretching from the guts of Australia's major cities, to remote areas including Burren Junction and far North Queensland. They have consistently sold out venues nationally as well as topping the punk section of the Triple J Unearthed Charts with their song 'The Ballad of Little Johnny' - a song about killing the now former Prime Minister that landed the boys in trouble under Australia's draconian sedition laws. They got off.....
The Trash has also been involved in the Union Movement writing and performing both original and traditional union songs. Yes, Sydney City Trash encourage you to join your relevant union.
The band has released three albums to date 'Classic Country Hits From Beyond The Grave', 'Once Upon In Australia' and the new little beauty 'Terror Australis' through Troubadour Music all available right now on iTunes.
With the touring machine constantly at work keep your eyes on the horizon for the Trash in a venue near you. The Trash are destined for bigger and better things as they spread their unique brand of Convict Country Rock n' Roll.
