Syko, A 19-year-old unsigned rapper from Western Sydney is bringing a new style of Hip-Hop and R&B to the Australian music scene. A rapper with addictive melodies and fresh rhymes that is making noise in the industry.
From the age of 13 when Shane ‘Syko’ Hubbard first picked up the pen and started writing and composing his own lyrics. It wasn’t until the age of 15 when Syko made his first recording from his very own bedroom. Ever since that day Syko has been studying his many musical influences to create his own brand and style of Hip-Hop.
Syko is currently working on the preparation release of his first debut studio album, which is receiving production from the U.S, Europe & also Australia. The untitled release is sure to create a new movement in Australian & international hip hop.
Going through the up’s and downs of the music industry has not affected Syko’s hunger to reach his personal best. With previous performances at local gigs, festivals and also the hottest night club in Western Australia "Metro City" in front of over 2000 people. Syko has now started to tour and take over the club scene. It won’t be long before everybody knows who this young aspiring hip hop artist is.
2009, has been a big year for the unsigned rapper with the touring and also the release for his long awaited mixtape ‘Version II’ which featured guest appearances from international artists such as Glenn Sousa, Lil’ B, J & Chris Raw. Version II has already moved over 2,000 copies across the world and continues growing every day.
After being featured in several magazines & newspapers Australia wide. Syko could shape up to be one of the biggest undiscovered artists to ever make an impact on the Australian music market. With the release of his album in his path, Syko is certain nothing can stop him from accomplishing his dream.
