Syloken was founded in 2004 as a solo studio project by John Thomas. Since the release of the debut album "Kyusai", Syloken has evolved from one man with a drum machine in Los Angeles, California to a 5 piece progressive, phsycodelic rock band in Norman, Oklahoma. Syloken's current lineup includes: John Thomas(Therogy, ***, Magnificent Bird, The Fluffies), Brendan Furneaux(Gaea Spore, Sinus Iridum), Zach Hollandsworth(ghost of monkshood, magnificent bird), Chris McDaniel(Ghost of Monkshood, ***, Gaea Spore), and Alex Hake(Urizen). Along its current path Syloken has also included: Ben Carter(Lazerus IV, Zebre, The Living Daylights, Urizen, The Gunship, The Needles), Chris Crouch(Fountinhead, the Fluffies), Chase Spivey(Ghost of Monkshood, ***, Therogy)
Syloken is spending the majority of its time in the studio finishing up their 2nd full length album "Life, Love, and the Birth of the Digital Flower". The album is being recorded by Ben Lindesmith(Zebre, Therogy) at Zanzibar Studios in Norman, Oklahoma. Despite recording schedules Syloken can still be seen live around the Norman/OKC area so check your local listings!
