Sylvie Boisel is a French jazz singer from
Paris who came to Sydney in 2006 and has fallen in love with our country. Sylvie has performed at many prestigious events including the opening night of the Sydney Film Festival featuring "La vie en rose" movie about Edith Piaf life with Marion Cotillard, accompanied by Mister Camembert band, the open of this movie at the Dendy cinema as well and
The Wallabies Farewell at the Sydney Town Hall.See video on the left of the page. She regularly performs gigs at
functions, restaurants and clubs all over Sydney and Melbourne. Upcoming events
include a performance at the French Lion’s Club in Sydney, as well as the Bright
Festival and the Moe Jazz Festival both in Victoria early in 2010. She regularly
performs her classic French hits like She, The Autumn Leaves, I Will Wait, The
Old Fashioned Way, La vie en rose and other great jazz classics like C’est si
bon, C’est Magnifique and Mack the Knife. Sylvie works with a number of
different musicians - her newly formed Sylvie Boisel Jazz Trio consists of
vocals, piano and double bass, but she also regularly works with accompanists on
guitar, violin, accordion, piano and trombone. Sylvie calls herself “the
vocalist d’amour”, she loves to sing songs of love.
