Straight out of ROCKLAND, ONTARIO Symphony in the Stairwell tastefully combines upbeat, catchy rock riffs with hints of popular metal. However, this was not always the case. When the band first came together in October 2003 they were filling high school gyms and coffee houses as an acoustic pop trio. Since then, the band has evolved and exploded into a full fledged, four piece hard rock institution flooding bars in and around Canada's capital city opening for bands such as ILL SCARLET and THREAT SIGNAL.
Drum star Preston D. Trigger has proved time and time again that he provides the band with a solid frame for building an arsenal of rock tracks. Bassist Trip McNeely is the low-end rumble that complements and supports the entire operation. As for all the fancy sheets and throw pillows? Leave it to the lead and rhythm guitar styling's of Kolt Diamond and Jaxon Bones. Together, these four offer their fans music that is high-energy, fun and in your face!
Singer/songwriter Bones uses dark imagery to captivate and connect the fans to the bands music. In doing so, songs like "Suicide Machine", "The Notice Board" and "Crooked Halo" are quickly becoming fan favourites and staples in Symphony's live show.
So what does the future hold for Symphony in the Stairwell? It can only go up from here. Their debut E.P "...On Such a Quiet Night" is already available for sale on merch tables at any of their upcoming shows. And as lead guitarist Kolt Diamond puts it "We'll play what we want, when we want. No matter what!"
