I started in 1994 with my previous project EVIL SERMON to produce hard Electro/EBM with my comrade Asmus Block. We entered to that time a few compilations released by Celtic Circle Productions like "Neues Elektro Blut", "Celtic Circle Sampler 3" and "4" or a Vertigo magazine compilation. Through different musically tastes we ended up this project in 1996.
And here starts the story of SYNAPTIC DEFECT.
It took me a while to learn almost everything in composing, sequencing and production of my own music. In February 2004 I got in contact with the label BLC Productions to take part on one of the legendary "Interbreeding" compilations series. BLC and I came very soon to the consideration to release a full-length CD of my stuff. And so "Mechanical Oppression" was constructed, recorded and finally released by BLC in June 2004. With the helping hand of my label I could take part on magazine compilations by the German Zillo 07/2004 and Sonic Seducer 10/2004.
My track "Wake Up" appeared on the limited 4CD boxset "Endzeit Bunkertrack Act 1", released by Alfa-Matrix from Belgium. A new track called "Morgue" has taken part on "Interbreeding VI: Subhuman: The Alien Agenda" out on BLC Productions at the end of April 2005. Another new and previously unreleased track called "Paralyzed" finally is available on "Interbreeding VII: The Flesh Harvest / Natural Enemies (Double Disc)(NOLA Edition)".
- a special remix of a new track called "Global Genocide (Life & Death Remix)" takes part on the compilation "PABS(D) 2", out on Advoxya-Records around August 2K7, www.advoxya-records.com
- the new and exclusive remix on the track "Devouring Hate" will be out on the third volume of the Electro-Arc compilation series, out around the fall of 2K7, www.electro-arc.de
- another compilation appearance could be arranged with the Miami-based label Telegrammetry/Hypervoxx: "Punish Me", taken from the new and coming album "World-wide Life & Death" is featured on "WeatherHead 3 DCD set, www.telegrammetry.com
Some remix works and collaborations became also reality. I've constructed remixes for acts like Obszön Geschöpf, Severe Illusion, delusive tension, and Object.
And following remix works got chosen and are presented on the bands' releases:
- Cyclone B - "Demolished EP" - remix on the track "Deathember", released on Advoxya-Records, www.advoxya-records.com
- Little Sap Dungeon - "Empty Rooms Breathe Heavily" - remix on the track "In The Dark (You're Mine)", released on Dungeon-Recordings, www.dungeon-recordings.com
- Grandchaos - "In Sedens" DCD - remix on the track "God Is Dead", released on EAR/Vendetta-Music, www.vendetta-music.com
- Greifenkeil - "Symbols" CD, a remix work done on the track "Democracy" is featured on the limited DCD set of this release (out May/June 2K7 on GrenTzwert, www.grentzwert.de)
future projects:
- finally - and somehow I've explained this to anyone who dared to ask - I can report that the long-awaited 2nd full-length CD entitled "World-wide Life & Death" will be out in late August, early September 2008 on Advoxya-Records, www.advoxya-records.com
- a new and exclusive track called "Electrofreak" (sic!) will be featured on an old-school EBM DCD compilation out on EAR/Vendetta-Music around August/September 2K7, www.vendetta-music.com
