Synchroni3ed (Zoran Licanin and Stefan Milenkovic) met in Belgrade in 2004, while going out to infamous progressive house Thursdays at club “Mamolo”. They soon realise that they share the same music taste, being influenced by all types of sounds.
In 2005, the duo begin to produce tracks together, their primary focus being progressive electro, with a very recognizable funky groove that defines their sound. Zoran was born in 1980 in Zagreb. As of early age he showed interest in music and started playing the guitar, which he perfected playing classical music, but in time was progressively more fascinated by electronic sound. He played and gained experience in numerous bands. Guitar effects gave him the possibility to play with his sound; fascinated with results of sound processors he strived towards incorporating electronic elements in his music, and today this is one of his trademarks.
In 2005, by Stefan’s influence completely dedicates himself to electro music.
Stefan was born 1977 in Nis where he completed music school for piano. At 15 years of age he moves to New Zeeland. Most of his free time, he spends by playing the piano, electrical and bass guitar, and composing his own music. In 1998, he moves to Sydney, Australia, where he discovers his affection for house music, starts DJ-ing and quickly gets invited to do private parties in Sydney’s smaller underground clubs. Stefan moves back to Belgrade in 2004 where he meets Zoran, and soon they start DJ-ing in all of Belgrade’s clubs. Also they start to produce and compose various genres of music, such as chill-out, hip-hop, techno, electro, progressive…
They released their first EP – “Balkan Connection ”, for PROTON MUSIC together with their producer partner Ogi Gee Cash. The EP is well received, which results in offers from numerous music labels to sign for them. Synchroni3ed released many singles for prominent world labels such as: Proton, Existence, Baroque, Pure Substance, Carica, Pangea, Play, Segment, Minimal, Dirty Blue, Fiberline Audio, Balistic, Balkan Connection, Fullbite Session, and many more. Synchroni3ed also produced remixes for many renowned artists, such as CPM, Tantoo Project, Soul Rebelz, Andrew K, Nicholas Van Orton, Le Ron & Yves Eaux, Luke Star, Audionova, Masque, Luke Porter… On the other hand, Nicholas Van Orton, Le Ron, Yves Eaux and Luke Star, Deep Mariano, DJ Python, Luke Porter, Cou Muzik, Mike Brin, DJ BIA, Denver & Mints, Audionova, Can Costa, Soda Inc., Jason Tregebov, Eddie F, Adam Byrd and many others did remixes for Synchroni3ed.
At present, Synchroni3ed have resident shows two times a month – on Proton Radio - "Balkan Connection", every fourth Monday, and on Frisky Radio - "Madness", every third Thursday in month. After publishing "Balkan Connection" EP vol.2 for one of the three most prestigious world labels, Proton Music, Synchroni3ed, together with their producing partner Ogi Gee Cash, also publish the remix edition of EP vol.1 and vol.2, which contains remixes by many well-known world producers. During that time, "Balkan Connection" radio show, gets into top 10 shows by hearing on Proton radio, together with the shows of DJ wiz’s, such as: Nick Warren, Sasha, Antony Papa, M.A.N.D.Y., John Digweed, etc., and at the same time "Madness" radio show broadcast on Frisky Radio breaks the records in the number of listeners several times. Each month, in both shows you can hear the latest producing achievements of the "Balkan Connection" team, who’s production was in 2007 voted, on many web sites and forums, one of the best and most original.
Year 2007 finishes with a debut album, which Synchroni3ed also release with their partner Ogi Gee Cash. "Balkan Connection - The Album”, with its unique and diverse sound, won the affection of innumerable DJ/Producers around the world, and its tracks can be found on many compilations and playlists. Another crown of their work is the creation of their own label "Balkan Connection", as a sub label of Proton Music, under their direct distribution. The first edition came out on 1st November, and two more are planned by the end of 2007. The idea is to connect established and new DJ/Producers from the Balkans and rest of the world, so that they can promote their talent in electronic music.
