Acclaimed for their technical virtuosity,
outstanding showmanship and diverse programming,
the Synergy Brass Quintet has emerged as one of the
countrys most exciting ensembles. Already in their
young career, Synergy has performed across the
country and has participated in some of the worlds
most prestigious music festivals including the Ravinia
Music Festival, the Bethlehem Musikfest, the
Tanglewood Festival and even the Boston Early Music
Festival. After hearing the ensemble at Tanglewood in
2003, Samuel Adler invited Synergy to perform on the
premiere recording of his Transfiguration: An
Ecumenical Mass.
In addition to Synergys rigorous performance
schedule, the ensemble dedicates an enormous amount
of time to the education of tomorrows musicians and
music-lovers. Synergy Brass Quintet has served as
Quintet-in-Residence at the Boston University
Tanglewood Institute and has presented master classes
and events at public schools, colleges and
conservatories including The Boston Conservatory,
Rice University, Northwestern University, the San
Francisco Conservatory, Oklahoma University, the
University of Illinois, Eastman School of Music, the
Manhattan School of Music and more. Through
workshops, clinics, residencies and master classes the
Synergy Brass Quintet uses their talents to inspire a
passion for music in the next generation.

You guys are coming to my school (BMR) on Thursday. I'm so excited I can't even explain it. It was kinda cool when my band director announced it to be able to say I knew who he was talking about. I saw you guys in Cambridge last fall and have wanted to see you again ever since. I have a signed flyer in my room and everything. I'm actually a woodwind player but I know our brass players are gonna love you. Just don't let them monopolize your time. I wanna be able to say hi too! <33333333 Dani

IT WOULD SOUND SO AWESOME! one of the songs on the cd had a chord progression or something that reminded me of the beatles... twas amazing! truely! so, do that, and i + many other people in the WORLD will love you forever. plus, make a cd of brass quintet beatles hits and you'l be rolling in cash from like 3 generations of people. let me know if you decide to do this.

I am sure you have heard it before but I have to share it anyway!
When Mozart passed away, he was buried in a churchyard. A couple days later, the town drunk was walking through the cemetery and heard some strange noise coming from the area where Mozart was buried.
Terrified, the drunk ran and got the priest to come and listen to it.The priest bent close to the grave and heard some faint, unrecognizable music coming from the grave. Frightened, the priest ran and got the town magistrate.
When the magistrate arrived, he bent his ear to the grave, listened for a moment, and said, "Ah, yes, that's Mozart's Ninth Symphony, being played backwards."
He listened a while longer, and said, "There's the Eighth Symphony, and it's backwards, too. Most puzzling."
So the magistrate kept listening; "There's the Seventh... the Sixth... the Fifth..."
Suddenly the realization of what was happening dawned on the magistrate; he stood up and announced to the crowd that had gathered in the cemetery, "My fellow citizens, there's nothing to worry about. It's just Mozart decomposing. "
