Synesthesia is a neurologically based phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway.
In one common form of synesthesia, known as grapheme → color synesthesia or color-graphemic synesthesia, letters or numbers are perceived as inherently colored, while in ordinal linguistic personification, numbers, days of the week and months of the year evoke personalities. In spatial-sequence, or number form synesthesia, numbers, months of the year, and/or days of the week elicit precise locations in space (for example, 1980 may be "farther away" than 1990), or may have a (three-dimensional) view of a year as a map (clockwise or counterclockwise). Yet another recently identified type, visual motion → sound synesthesia, involves hearing sounds in response to visual motion and flicker.

Welcome to my Ambient - Meditation - Synessence project. Extension of my main body of work 'Proxima IV' The music here is dedicated to the spiritual-meditative and Ambient soundscape, for Mediation workshops,Arts Workshops,Film or just plain listening pleasure.
I started this project to capture a side of ambience I really enjoy and have had experience of first hand, The first project is an LP called 'Lifetide' the title of which is taken from the Lyall Watson book of the same name, clips of all the tracks can be found at The Ambient Music Garden and is available to buy under various licences.
Keep an eye on us if you like what I do, for interesting collaborations, visual and aural stimuli and re-mixes of my own work from 'Proxima IV'
