InfluencesMainly it would be game soundtrack composers such as Akira Yamaoka, Steve Henifin, Matt Uelmen, Masami Ueda etc

However a lot of other influences are more pop such as Erasure, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, Kate Bush, Mortiis, Aneka, Enya, Tom Waits, Yazoo, Depeche Mode, Eurythmics, David Bowie, Shakira, La Roux, Lady GaGa especially, her aesthetic and approach to story telling in her videos is far more harsh and threatening than a thousand Death Metal or Doom bands.

About Synoiz's Soundtrack Work

Synoiz is a one-man project based in the North East of England. Originally setting out to create his own brand of angst-ridden synthpop, Synoiz found himself much more involved in darkwave ambient soundtrack work. His first actual release, the "Chernobyl OST", consisted of 6-tracks for an art installation while a recent side project, the "Pebbledash OST", saw him in a totally different style, resorting to vintage electronica for an upcoming computer game aimed at young adults.

Preceded by his debut single "Long Lost..." in June, on Halloween 2009, Synoiz will release his debut album "Ambients" for digital download and a limited physical run. Combining stirring organic pieces with nightmarish horror soundscapes akin to those of Silent Hill, Ambients is the perfect soundtrack as the nights get darker and the winds colder towards the end of the year.

My Influences

Synoiz has been heavily inspired by many other artists from all different styles of music, from game soundtrack composers such as Matt Uelmen who composed the music for a host of Blizzard games such as Diablo, Warcraft and Starcraft. Akira Yamaoka who is most famous for his work on the Silent Hill franchise. Steve Henifin of Silicon Knights who is responsible for the amazing soundtracks on games such as Blood Omen : Legacy of Kain and Eternal Darkness : Sanity's Requiem. Masami Ueda for his amazing work on the Resident Evil 2 and 3 games. There are many more people that could be mentioned including the composers behind the Forbidden Siren games and those throughout the Metroid franchise but it would take forever. He hopes you can hear their influences in his music when you listen.

Cheers Synoiz!
Same boat mate.
I guess I'm not big on genre stuff. I love to stumble upon new sounds, there's so much out there untainted by the industry, it would be rude not to share my findings :)

Hope you are having a great Xmas.

*Lucifer Sam, siam cat.
Always sitting by your side
Always by your side.
That cat’s something I can’t explain.

Ginger, ginger you’re a witch.
You’re the left side
He’s the right side.
Oh, no!
That cat’s something I can’t explain.

Lucifer go to sea.
Be a hip cat
Be a ship’s cat.
Somewhere, anywhere.

That was the funniest comment I've ever read. Thanks man. Its true, we Americans truly are robots. Some of us however, have become sentient. So we can actually realize how much we hate ourselves haha.
