noir, bars, women & cars - from vegas to dago, the brothels of germany to doha, kuwait: a wild & gritty collection of 17 cuts: pomes & prose, plus 3 excerpts from the novel, ‘the ants, thirsty,’ all from the former editor/columnist of 86…the man who put "hard fic" on the streets…the hardcore referee/translator/negotiator you’d hire when sitting bookended in a bar between nick tosches & chuck palahniuk.
"look, the stuff is good. quite good. straight up - like a good half-glass of whiskey." —dan fante, author of ‘mooch,’ ‘spitting off tall buildings,’ ‘kissed by a fat waitress,’ & ‘a gin pissing raw meat dual carburetor v-8 son of a bitch from los angeles.’
Just wanted to say thanks for being a real friend of mine on Myspace. If you have any poetry or know a really great poet that you like - let me know - i'm always looking for new poetry & poets to feature on 10K Poets.
I submitted a few poems to Kill Poet but I haven't heard back. I tried being cute with my Bio and I think it may have done me in. "My poetry should speak for itself" can be taken in a couple of different ways I suppose.
I saw a video of you reading a poem and I have since become an even bigger fan of your work.
Don't know how long I'll be there, but I'll be driving, and have to fit in SD and SF, too, so we'll see, but I don't even wanna say, cuz last time it was just BECAUSE I was there so damn long that we barely saw each other, took it for granted. Yup, past transgressions must be shattered! And there will be no on-my-way-to-PJ nonsense, either.
u will dig the show that i'm doing tonite: a special interview with Alexander Shumyan * www.myspace.com/ashaumyan * a poet that i personally consider to be one of the most prolific poets of our day - i have wantyed to meet & interview Alex for almost a year now. U will definetly experience some of the most provacitive poetry ever - tune in on www.blogtalkradio.com/10kpoets * call in and read your poetry * 347-205-9663
Cameron Lange is a poet from Los Angeles,California. The first poet that 10K Poets published as an individual. His work is raw & stunning. If you can help support poetry publishing by purchasing a copy, that would be great. If you can't b/c times are tough - it's understood - if you can pass the word on about Cameron Lange & his new book: "Chaotic Rhythm", that would help. Many Thanks!
