An avid music fan since the age of 12, Sean has been increasing his knowledge across many genres of music. He stumbled upon industrial music 16 years ago and has been hooked ever since. His music library can attest to his indulgence in electronic music, boasting many hundreds of titles.

Sean began working with Industrial Edge, Inc. in 2000. With his assistance, Industrial Edge succeeded in moving from the hardcore scene to the industrial scene in 2001 when they partnered with Albion. His knowledge of music, years experience in nightclubs, and keen business sense, have all contributed to Mr. Popularity solidifying his standing as one of the leading promoters in the Industrial music scene in the New York/ New Jersey area today. His connecting IE with Albion (NYC) and Aldos (NJ) are testimony to his talent in the field of promotions

In 2004, Sean decided it was time to go out on his own and formed Synthetek Productions . In the past three years, he has work with Albion (NYC), Exile AD (NJ), Recession Sundays (NJ), Terminal 5 (NJ), System (NYC) and Das Bunker NYC. He promoted major alternative music events including Wolfsheim (Webster Hall, NYC) VNV Nation (Avalon, NYC) NYC Industrial Festivals & Dark Art Festival 2006.

Sean began to DJ under the name Synthpunk (now Synthetek) in 2001. He currently takes an occasional guest spot. He is beginning work on his own musical project and working on remixes for other artists.
