SalNIGHTMARE: SYN THE VILLIAN sa Music! Hey after all YO SOY UN PANAMENO!!!!!!!!!
Syn The Villain started out rhyming at the age on 13. This Panamanian/Barbadian/ Jamaican emcee in the works starting working on his craft after a house party. He first learned the art of free styling by rhyming to himself walking home everyday from school. At that time a friend named D.P Vanominon asked Syn ( who went by the named of the Super Unnatural Nigga ( YEAH I KNOW)) to be apart of Soliders Of Skill Clan (S.O.S ). After that short lived run with the clan. Syn started kicking rhymes to his cousin and future emcee partner Epic P ( Not knowing where this was going the formula that worked the best in the years to come.) just keep his skills polished. Eventually Epic and Syn formed the group BOARD Of Education( B.O.E) along with Unseen. Unseen left and it was just possibly the two illest emcees left to keep the wheels running. So after a lot of bs Epic and Syn jest kept doing them. When Syn moved to Philly, his intents were to never rhyme again. Until a Tuesday night changed all that. A friend by the name of D-TECH told him him about a spot called Medusa’s lounge that hosted Thortakeover every Tuesday night there. Syn got that itch and it’s on again. Forming various alliances with local greats ( Thortakeover, Squadzilla, Villains United and a slew of others) Syn’s sole purpose is bring back the fun and lyrics in Hip-hop. And He won’t be denied!!!!!!!!! B.O..E BABY

Every third Friday of the month in Philly THORTakeOver will be hosting their legendary MC cipher / producer showcase once called Tuesday ciphers and then Mic Check THORsday now it is called Friday Night Mic Check.
I guess by now you can tell we been running it for a minute for three years to be exact. We are lovers of the culture and we desire to preserve it. We mostly focus on two elements not to say the others are not invited. Come and stop through and bare witness to the communal spirit of real mcees spitting in a cipher. Let your ears be graced with the beat production of some talented producers. Before we would just jump into feature performances now we are going to install a open mic segment so the hungry can be fed. Then we will give a moment to the feature performers.
Now you gatos don't have to leave the event so early stay and listen to DJ Soul Buck reintroduce you to the craft of the first element of hip hop. If you desire to find out whats new in the hip hop culture this is one of the stops you wanna make on your road of discovery.
