The Atlanta based burlesque production company Syrens of the South was started by two ladies with a common vision. Miss Lashe and Talloolah Love met while performing burlesque over five years ago and were so often mistaken for each other they decided to start a sister act. In 2007, they toured with their duet all over the USA. In the span of three months, they traveled to and performed in Boston, Hollywood, Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville and at The Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas.
Katherine Lashe's Burlesque was opening for Dita von Teese in 2003. After her first foray into the world of glamor and glitz she became insatiable for the draw of the burlesque stage, and has performed steadily since August of 2004. These days, she performs in and produces shows regularly all over the country. Her performance pieces have their own style with her original blend of cute 1950's pin-up peppered with the fantastic flare of her more punk-rock roots. In 2006, she began producing shows independently then under the Syrens of the South Productions, which she was pivotal in conceiving. Miss Lashe was featured in Access Atlanta for her very first stand alone Art Show and Burlesque production in June 2006, and gas been featured in numerous publications since including, but not exclusive to The Boston Herald, the Tampa Bay Times, and Bust Magazine just to name a few. Along with her performance and booking acumen, she is also a noted pin-up model. In March 2007 she was named Miss Pin-up Vixen, she was one of the Java Bachelor Pad Cuties in 2007 and was Honk-it-up.com's official pin-up for January AND April of 2008. Her illustrious performances in 2008 included the honor of being one of only six international competitors in the Miss Viva Las Vegas competition only to turn around and compete with Talloolah Love at Miss Exotic World and then to perform in New York for the Coney Island Rockabilly Festival.
She is known as the girl that puts the Cheese back in Cheese Cake, and the Southern Sin-Sation. There is no doubt that Katherine Lashe will leave her mark on the burlesque world with her fabulous productions, and attention to the finer details that make this Burlesque Revival go POW!!!
Talloolah Love, known as the Mati Hari of Burlesque, started in burlesque five years ago after years of bellydance training. She now fuses her tribal bellydance with burlesque for her own very unique performance style. She is a natural font of ideas and the few shows she has helped produce have met with resounding success. She has a strong background in theater and is a wiz with makeup and hair and adds her advice and special touches to every production. She performed for the Turner Foundation's yearly benefit in Atlanta at club 1150 in 2004. Talloolah won first runner up in Horsepower in the Park's first annual pinup contest in 2007, and was featured in the Boston Herald on her first trip when she attended and performed at the Boston Burlesque Expo. Tallolah has been choosen to perform for the 2008 Coney Island Rockabilly Festival.
These two ladies have been fortunate enough to have performed together and separately at the following:
The Burlesque Hall of Fame: Miss Exotic World 2007 & 2008 (NV); The Great Boston Burlesque Expo 2007(MA), Hypericon III (TN), Chattacon XXXII and XXXIII (TN), Monster Bash 2006; Drive In-Vasion 2006; The Highland Inn, Phobia, Hexxt, The Punchline Comedy Club, The Star Bar, Mulligan's Bar, The Earl, Halo Lounge, My Sister's Room, Club 1150, The Chamber and numerous other events and locations.

Extremely honored to make your acquaintances in New Orleans at PyrateCon. Was very happy to talk with Renea’ Le Roux. She is a very in-your-face, tell-it-how-it-is person and I really admire that. I am also astounded by her sewing and imagination with her costumes. All the Syrens of the South were great in New Orleans. I ‘m glad ya’ll do what you love and love what you do. Hope to see you again.
