Originating in Oregon, Syrius Jones has found their home in Sacramento, California. Syrius Jones has been named best new rock band in Oregon (2002) by Willamette Week, best alternative band (2003) by Eugene Weekly, and 'hooky...melodic...and definitely worth looking for' (2004) by the Sacramento News and Review, for good reason.
Syrius Jones has earned extended airplay on Oregon's new rock station 97.9 KNRQ. They've had radio interviews up and down the west coast, and multiple appearances including performing during half time at Autzen Stadium for over 40,000 Oregon Ducks fans.
Syrius Jones creates melodic feel-good music with effortless precision. Their latest contribution, Big Shot is an album to get lost in. This CD constantly surprises with its infinite amount of unforgettable lyrics, impeccable rhythm section, powerful grooves, and elaborate smoothness.
Syrius Jones is currently playing throughout Northern California with an occasional stop in Oregon supporting their new CD. Stop in, have a drink, dance and say hello.
We welcome our newest addition Nick Swimley on Guitar:
With influences such as Keith Richards, Mark Knopfler and Clarence White, Sacramento, CA native Nick Swimley, connects both country/rock and bluegrass licks on lead guitar. Having the experience of playing side man to well known local artists brought him the opportunity to perform all over the country.
Shane Workman: Guitar, Vocals
The son of a prominent jazz pianist, Shane Workman's musical success was never in doubt. With two label-supported albums under his belt, Shane continues to push the pop envelope.
Matt Pruden: Drums
Raised in the small town of Clinton, MS, Matt Pruden grew up with some of the most successful musicians of his generation including Lance Bass and drummer Keith Carlock (of Steely Dan). This inspirational hotbed has led to some of the most unique, tasteful, and smooth grooves heard today.

Just register as anyone else would, set your display name to your band name, then:
∙ Post your music, videos, show listings, show fliers, pictures ∙ Have your tracks in the site-wide radio player of local musicians with links to your band’s profile ∙ Find, listen, and message other local musicians ∙ Notify 'friends' of upcoming shows ∙ Keep a blog ∙ It's also easy to link to your myspace, lastfm or other websites.
From now through most of February your registration also gets you a chance to win an iPhone, so stop reading and register, ya dig?! ..
