Bio
David (aka System Divine) was born in 1984. in Croatia. He started playing the acoustic guitar at the age of 11, and was heavily influenced by his mother's records, mainly David Bowie, Queen, Depeche Mode, etc. A few years later he replaced his guitar with a pair of turntables. This is where the real journey had begun. First he started playing at private parties and some local bars, earning money he used almost exclusively for buying vinyls. His skill and talent didn't go unnoticed, as he won the award for the "Best upcoming DJ" at a Rookie DJ's Contest. Almost immediately after that, he was given an opportunity to play at Fun Academy, one of the most famous clubs in the country at that time (which hosted, among others, Jeff Mills, Oxia, Mara Sound System, etc). He was warmly accepted and went on to become the club's youngest resident DJ of all time. Several other residencies soon followed, as well as guest appearances both in Croatia and abroad (Hartera Music Festival, Rijeka's Carnival Party just to name a few). He also appeared on dozens of radio and TV shows devoted to electronic music. In the process of his development, he founded an association called "Be Free", through which he continues to promote electronic music throughout the country. System Divine has made dozens of noteworthy appearances, some of them being alongside artists like Sasha, Guy Gerber, Simian Mobile Disco, Anthony Pappa, Ronski Speed, Steve Rachmad, Billy Nasty, MoShic, Nathan Coles, Alex Metric and many others. The music he spins is very diverse, his style would best be described as driving progressive-tech house sound with elements of different electronic music genres. His music is open to various music styles and directions, wherever the feeling of the song takes him. Next step - Production. System Divine's first EP was released by Xela Digital in June 2009. In November 2009., his first remix (for Diego Poblets-Piano&Strings) didn't go unnoticed, to say the least. SD got an e-mail from the one and only, Mr. Laurent Garnier himself, displaying appreciation for his music and promising playtime and acknowledgment during some of his own sets. A true accolade from one of world's finest. More than anything, System Divine is devoted and thankful to his fans, who provide continuous belief and support. "Something that can unite the people with the music, and do that everyone is breathing like one... it could only be magic... I try to use that magic as often as I can." -
