Music
I love a wide variety of music, but the music I enjoy listening to the most are by Christian artists like Chris Rice, Jeremy Camp, Natalie Grant, Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, Casting Crowns, Jars of Clay, SonicFlood, Big Daddy Weave, Newsboys, Third Day, Building 429, MercyMe, 4Him, Point of Grace & many, many more. Other favorites include Jack Johnson, Corinne Bailey Rae, Fisher, and yes, I am one of those die hard forever BonJovi fans, LOL. I love almost all music, even classical which I love to listen to when I'm sitting at my easel painting. I think the only genres I don't care for is metal, screamo, and vulgar rap. Offensive just isn't my style...
Movies
I love all sorts of films from great classics to modern-day. Genres include musicals, comedy, action, drama, animated, documentaries,... It doesn't really matter if it has a good story. Although I have a pretty big distaste for films full of fowl language and other inappropriate content.
Television
The majority of TV subject matter these days does not impress me. We actually elected to turn off our satellite almost a year ago, and I have to say that, apart from missing a select few favorite programs, we still have not regretted it! We keep fish (we have three 55-gal aquariums, and just recently added a 240 gallon) and after getting into that, we watched tv even less than before so it seemed like a waste to be paying for something we weren't using, and since then the girls & I have also really gotten into birding so we spend a lot of time enjoying and observing nature.
Books
I LOVE books! I love taking my mind on a journey... I love all sorts of genre of books & authors.

I'm a strong woman with a creative personality, a big {& sensitive} heart, and an old soul. Music moves me, nature moves me,.. 'life' moves me.
I've been through a lot in life, but I am a survivor. Everything I've been through has only made me stronger, and I am determined to continue on that way no matter what else crosses my path. I never know what to expect with each new day, but I just take them as they come,.. one day at a time.
When I can find time & I'm up for it, I enjoy writing, illustrating, painting, and photography. I am also fond of sitting still, being quiet, and taking in the blessings that surround me. I find it's a good way to wash away the negatives, and regroup.
What takes up most of my time though is raising my three beautiful daughters, which I must say is the most remarkable job a woman can be privledged to have. Being a parent is one of the most challenging & demanding yet rewarding & satisfying experiences, and my children are absolutely, without a doubt, what keep me going. I homeschool all of them. Homeschooling is not an easy task, but it is so worth it. If I could only use two words to describe what it takes it would be: PATIENCE & DEDICATION.
I'm a Christian, and my faith in God is unwaivering. I am truly humbled by His grace. He alone has carried me through all of life's many trials... He is my Saviour.
I have a huge heart, and am usually an optimist even when there's no reason to be. That's what big faith will get you!
That's me in a nutshell,.... All that glitters is NOT always gold, but it's me. It's who I am.
Old friends & relations,.. I've lost touch with way too many people over the years. It would be great to catch up! I'm really enjoying crossing paths with people I was once close to or knew, and rekindling those friendships after all the time that has passed. There's been too much drama in my life, and so this is fast becoming a nice little retreat for me to just relax a bit, and enjoy a smile with a friend...

I think we've got about twice what you got. It just won't stop. It is amazing. We're having the time of our life. Boys are sledding for the first time ever - so fun!! I decked myself out in John's hunting gear and stayed toasting warm while we sledded. I'm posting pictures now. TTYL
No snow - just 13 degree weather. I've sat on a jury before and following the law was in direct conflict with my brain and heart. It wasn't easy. We'll see what happens this time. Sending you lots of warm wishes to help you thaw out :)
