Frontside shove it- Revert

Submitted by Ghost on Thu, 2007-07-19 18:15.

Front shove Reverts

Let me start off by saying that this is a very awkward trick to learn.
You definently need to have good frontside pop shove its. Your fs shoves
should be able to pop at least a few inches off the ground before learning these.
What happens in this trick is you do a Frontside shove it and you revert back like a nollie fs 180.
Got it? Sounds complicated but it's not, I'll keep it short and sweet so let's get to it.

Setup
The setup for this trick is essintially the same as a normal fs shove.

why do people hate skateboarders?

Submitted by sk8tingblind112 on Tue, 2007-06-26 10:52.

It’s been really bothering me lately about why a lot of people hate skateboarding. It seems now days; with skating becoming more mainstream with the honeycombs commercials with skateboarders to Wal-Mart putting ads in Transworld that people would be embracing the sport a little more. Wrong! I was skating threw downtown Des Moines the other day when a man started screaming at me to “get the fuck off the ledge.” Why? Its not like its his ledge, or he has to pay for my medical bills if I get hurt. Why does he care?

The Complete Bearing Guide

Submitted by hanyo66 on Wed, 2007-06-20 17:59.

Ok, I've seen quite a few people asking about bearings on a daily basis. In this guide I'm going to tell you everything you need to know about what makes that wheel spin on that axel.

We'll address this in an FAQ format.

What is a bearing?
A bearing is the circular component that fits into your wheel and lets the wheel spin properly and efficiently on the truck's axel. Included inside the bearing are the balls which help the actual bearing spin. There are between 4-8 balls inside your bearing, depending on what kind you buy.

What are the different sizes?

Helipops

Submitted by Ghost on Tue, 2007-06-12 18:52.

How to do a helipop. Well first off you need to know that a hellipop is a basically a nollie full cab. Here I'm teaching a backside helipop, but doing it is essentially the same for both ways. This trick is a fun trick to add to your arsenal and not too difficult to learn. These tricks are great to throw into the start of lines because you end up right where you started. You basically need to know 2 tricks before you start to learn this.

So you’re getting good at skating, huh? Think you’ve got a shot at a sponsorship? Or maybe you just feel like making a montage for fun. Well, either way, there are many important things to follow in order for it to turn out great!

Krooked Skateboards Review

Submitted by BobbyGanoosh on Thu, 2007-05-31 12:19.

Krooked Skateboards is a deck company out of San Francisco, created by Mark Gonzales and Distributed by Deluxe. Mark Gonzales creates the artwork for almost all of the decks. The skaters on the pro team sketch it out, then The Gonz Finishes it up on the deck. The Pro team consists of Bobby Worrest, Dan Drehobl, Van Wastell, and of course, Mark Gonzales. Krooked also has guest riders, in which The Gonz can choose any skater he likes, ask him if they want a guest deck, and he will make it!
