Taberah's Musical influences range from the Immortal Heavy Metal likes of Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Manowar.
To the Rock'n'Roll ways of AC/DC, Motorhead, Kiss and Rose Tattoo.
Mixed in with the theatrical, melodic touch of acts like Queen, Helloween, Meat Loaf and Stryper, but without forgetting the aggressive element of bands like Grave Digger, early Slayer and early Metallica.
Some more Modern Heavy Metal bands like Dungeon, Firewind (Fredrick era), Gamma Ray and Edguy also have a notable influence on the Taberah sound, not to mention the flat out fun of bands like Tenacious D and The Darkness

Heavy Metal played with the Spirit of Rock'n'Roll
June 2007
"A stage show that (believe me) has to be seen to be believed" - Sauce Magazine
"Passionate, raw and yet well composed, they show no signs of the telltale tedium that emerges from the stagnant or exhausted repertoire of most heavy metal acts." - Faust Metal Zine
"Simply put, they made me forget I hate that genre" - Sauce Magazine
"The soloing reminds me of some of the more interesting guitar battles between the Dragonforce guys, but with far more passion and integrity. This song is most impressive, containing some of the tightest, most eyebrow lifting and creative soloing I’ve heard in a while." - Faust Metal Zine
Numbers 11:1-3
(1) Now the people complained about their hardships in the hearing of the Lord, and when he heard them his anger was aroused.
Then fire from the Lord burned among them and consumed the outskirts of the camp.
(2) When the people cried out to Moses, he prayed to the Lord and the fire died down.
(3) So that place was called Taberah, because there the 'Fire of the Lord' had burned among them.
Formed in 2004 by Guitarist/Front man Jonathon Barwick and drummer Tom Brockman, Taberah began its days in the ever so classic way of jamming tunes by AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne and Iron Maiden and the like. Jonathon and Tom endured many line-up changes, before destiny was met when Sam Roberts joined on Bass in late 2004 along with Sebastian Galloway on guitar in mid 2005.
In early 2006 Taberah forged it's way into and quickly became apart of the Tasmanian metal scene, although Taberah may seem somewhat out of place in a land known well for it's world class extreme metal.
Throughout their short time on the Tassie live circuit, Taberah have played alongside many of the local legends and have, on numerous occasions, played supporting shows for the fine heavy metal acts that have ventured down from the mainland.
At the end of 2006 Taberah released a demo titled, EXORDIUM. 100 CDs were made and all were sold within a month with many fans unfortunately missing out on a copy.
In early 2007 Taberah released the 'Rehearsal Demo' cassette, limited to just 300 copies. The tape has received very positive reviews from around the country...
"This is pure heavy metal, and technical and progressive enough to warrant several listens to fully appreciate the musical depth. I listened to 'Taberah' alone about 6 times to pay full attention to the mature dual guitar integration and melodies: they show taste and depth beyond their years." - Faust Metal Zine
At the end of 2007 Taberah was approached to join forces with American underground metal label Rusty Axe Records. An exciting development to say the very least.
Due to Sebastian traveling to Europe for the first half of 2008. Taberah didn't take to the stage until late August, which saw the band (along with some local legends) deliver a weekend of good times and heavy metal. The shows were 2 out of 3 that Taberah would deliver in 2008 due to Sammy taking off on a round the world adventure for the rest of the year.
2009 has the band working on their debut full length record to be released on Rusty Axe Records later in the year. The album is somewhat of a chronicle of Taberah's first years. It will contain fresh material along side classic material which has proven itself a strong part of Taberah's
live show.
Taberah kicked off their 2009 campaign supporting arguably Hobart's best heavy rock outfit Hammerhead as they released their new album.
With a show at 'Sonic Exhumation' (previously known as 'Sonic Distortion') Taberah fulfilled a pact made long ago at Sonic Distortion 4 in 2006. The pact being Taberah would be playing the next one, no matter what. Unknown to them that it would not be back until 2009!
In May 2009 Taberah sadly played their last show with the Mk1 line up. But to say they went out with a bang is an understatement! Opening with Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' then a set of the bands best material topped off with a cover of Kiss' 'Rock and Roll All Nite' where the crowd joined Taberah onstage as a last hurrah truly was a cherry on top of a fun and memorable first 4 years of the the band.
Taberah are currently back to the drawing board recruiting new members and will be back as soon as they can! So stay tuned and don't forget the name Taberah.
Put together the first music video for one of the songs, that being for the song "Eel Marsh House", which is based on the movie "The Woman In Black". Wasn't sure to name it that instead of 'Eel Marsh..." ...Eel Marsh House being where the woman in black 'lived', and now haunts it. Though, she seems to haunt the general area of the village as well as the House. If anyone catches her gaze, looks into her eyes....a child will die, usually from the family of the person unfortunate to look at her. As you see what happens to the story's main character at the end.
Hope you like it, that's about all for now, Cheers! Rob

Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my 2nd horror novel SACRIFICE was released this month - and is in stores everywhere, including Amazon.com. I hope you'll check out the book! Here are a couple reviews it's gotten:
“SACRIFICE is not for the timid or weak of heart, it is a full frontal assault on your senses. It is a dark, brutal, bloody and terribly frightening book. Everson went deep into some dark abyss to bring this book to the light of day.... I highly recommend Sacrifice.” —Famous Monsters of Filmland
“John Everson manages in SACRIFICE to dispense buckets of blood, provide edgy perversity, and walk the tenuous tightrope of horror and sex without falling: It’s rather an amazing feat.” –Hell Notes
