"I am a musician who loves music dearly. I love The Simpsons, Family Guy and South Park.
I write my own Guitar Tablature on the side so if any of you out there want to learn songs on the
guitar the easy way, you know who to contact
I'm happy to be onboard TABS and feel privileged to ride the wave onto a better future for
Blind people."
Well...I am the oldest yet coolest TABS board member you will EVER want to get to know. I am a Phi Theta Kappa as well as a Tech Geek who knows how to "break things down"-if you know what I mean...LOL. My 16 year-old daughter Samone and I have a tight bond. People say we look and act a lot like sisters. I like making people laugh but I love people who can make me laugh. I have two dogs at home; one of them being my guide dog. I say what's on my mind and I don't like sugar-coating anything. Honesty is my only policy in life...
My name is Emily Beckstein, and I am currently the 2nd Vice-President of the
Texas
Association of Blind Students. I have completed my associate of liberal
arts
at Tarrant County College (or at least I will have probably finished by
the
time this gets posted. I love to read mysteries and science fiction. I
also
like to listen to radio dramas. Last but most certainly not least I
love
being involved with TABS; the greatest student organization ever.
Hey what is up. My Name is Gabriela A.K.A Gigi as TABS secretary. This is my 2nd year as secretary and since my first year it has been great being on the board. What can I say I am from EL Paso, TX. I am attending EPCC finishing up my basics. I plan to major in sports med or somewhere in law. Besides school I am fun, outgoing, loud at times, I like to party and make the best out of everyday life. I am willing to try new things. As for me I love being around people who are outgoing and can make me smile. One thing that you must know; I don’t like people that lie. Tell the truth and we’ll be cool. There are a lot of things I enjoy doing such as playing basketball, football, and most of all my all time favorite is swimming. Other than sports, I like to hang out with my friends and make them happy.
Hey what's up it's Ashley, your new tabs treasurer! i'm really excited to be on board! Well, let's see, what all can I say here? Well, 22 years living on this earth, and you'd think I didn't know so much! Hahaha!
Anyway, I'm going back to school this semester, and I'm really excited about the change! I'm a freshman, majoring in music education/performance. I'm a really big fan of music; i spend all day listening to it! I'm into all types of it, and I also enjoy singing. I enjoy playing on the computer, and lately my knowledge of the latest technology has grown tremendously! I spend a lot of time studying the computer, and learning more than what I "need to know!" i like to serf the internet, and chat online. A couple of the things I'm working on now is learning to use a program which will allow me to create recordings of different types, and also trying to learn to type Spanish characters on the keyboard. Although the second thing isn't going too well right at the moment, but I'm still trying! "Never give up", I've always heard!
Well anyway, hope you all enjoyed reading, I'm out of here for now. Thanks for reading!
Ash
What up to everybody. My name is Munoz, Juan Carlos, or at least that's what you would know me as if I were an author. I am first board member on TABS, so basically I'm here to serve you. I'm a guy that enjoys sports, music, and comedy. So get at me if you wanna talk some baseball, talk about the guy that was just on comedy Central, or show a rocker some love. I started teaching myself to play the drums when I was 13, and I guess we were meant to be together or something. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know all of you.

"the Keeping TABS long awaited Winter/Spring 2009-2010 article is here! This promises to be quite an exciting and enthralling read. This year's rage of topics varies from career choices and rips to the Andes Mountains to exhausting schedules and experiences at the Louisiana Center for the Blind the Blind.
It has been a Roller Coaster of a year. we had our Spring Conference in Austin Texas and am proud to report it was of minimal cost for those in attendance with meals(including the banquet) included. And for those who were unable to attend, this conference was our first "interactive" conference with multimedia files available at: http://www.nfb-texas.org/tabs_multimedia.html
our annual, biggest fundraiser, Southern Strums was a rousing success and now we turn our attention to our State Conference as well as various fundraisers we have undertaken until the remainder of this year. for more news on TABS and all our activities you may visit www.nfb-texas.org/tabs_latest_news.htm
we hope you enjoy this issue of Keeping TABS and wish to see you at our State Conference."
