TAB the Band formed in December 2006. What resulted was a ragged, hard rock band the likes of which has not been seen since 1974, but sounds like it could still be good in 2074.
Watch us host our mtvU Dean's List when we opened for Modest Mouse! ..
ROLLING STONE:
"…they play bluesy, sleazy, guitar raunch…" 3.5 / 4 stars.
NEW YORKER:
"Tab the Band...lights up the night with the fist-pumping sounds of its new record, "Long Weekend.""
NPR:
"...has created an exuberant album that tips the hat to its rock & roll predecessors without feeling trite or at all derivative."
POPMATTERS:
"Be sure to put this little gem on your TAB….This is crazy beautiful driving music. Play it in the car with all the windows down, and watch out for jealous stares."
VH1's BEST WEEK EVER:
"TAB's album (and plugged-in live show) is big time rock...[their acoustic set] sounded great…it really felt like we were witnessing something special and different."
TIME OUT NEW YORK:
"Show up early for the big arena sounds of TAB the Band."
BOSTON HERALD:
"Scott Weiland must have been impressed back at the WBCN Xmas Rave, because he’s tapped TAB the Band to open for him once again...And to show true rock versatility, TAB the Band also just recorded an acoustic session for the always-worthy Band in Boston podcast, found at www.bandinbostonpodcast.com."
NEW YORK COOL:
"Straight up rock and roll, jagged guitars with maybe just a hint of country-rock twang...I have to say it's very comforting to go see an unpretentious, flat-out rock band. TAB throws down tightly-structured songs with, if you can believe this, actual verses, prechoruses, refrains, bridges and then a 16-bar solo two-thirds through. Shocking."
NOIZE MAKES ENEMIES (UK):
Named as a "band to watch" in 2009.
BOSTON PHOENIX:
"'Pulling Out Just Enough To Win' rocks..."
NEUFUTUR:
"...their blend of retro styles in the linking of harder classic rock with earlier strains of folk rock will have listeners keeping “Long Weekend” in their players or on their iPods..."
BOSTON GLOBE:
"...playing killer Cheap Trick-meets-Lemonheads-style power-pop, and doing just fine."
BLENDER:
"This band rawks."

Hey! TAB the Band, thanks for the add! As you know we're Sorrows of Autumn and we are currently in need of a vocalist in the W.Mass area to complete our lineup. If you know anyone who may be interested could you refer them to our page?
