I have an eclectic array of interests. I love to cook and specialize in middle eastern food because it's cheap and tasty. I make and market my own spice blends.
I made the jump from crocheting to knitting about 2 years ago and I LOVE it. My dogs are the recipients of my labors of love.
I am owned by a tiny, ancient black Chihuahua named Daisy who stole my heart from the moment I saw her bouncing around in the cage @ the animal shelter and a blonde Chihua-what I dognapped from a negligent neighbor back in California 4 years ago. Oh yeah, I became a cat person when DH and I got married.

About me: Why do I feel like I'm writing a personal ad? I am a wife, daughter and mommy to an angel. I am an adventurous, albeit at times old soul seeking a restoration of symbiosis after a life altering paradigm shift. In the span of 2 months my husband and I decided to and acted upon the desire to move out of California (The Granola State, Land of Fruits, Nuts and Flakes) to the mid-west. Our reasoning was simple - We want to be able to AFFORD a home and to pursue other avenues of parenting available when one isn't paying an arm and a leg for an overpriced hovel in California.

We don't know what Spock is actually. When we got him from the Humane Society they told us they thought he was a Jack Russell mix but we call him a Rat mix. Either way he's got spunky terrier blood him that's fo sho! He's a lot bigger than he looks in that pic so I doubt he's got any chi in him. (He's about 10-11 inches high & 15-17 lbs)It's possible though--would explain the ears! :-)How are you and yours?
